Hey everyone.

I've been vaping now for quite a while, but seeing as I am generally a fruit flavor vaper, I've haven't run into this problem yet.

I recently got some Black Licorice flavored liquid for my other 1/2 to vape, and not thinking much about it, I loaded it up into a nice clean blue stardust with a blue tip and handed it over for the day. Later that evening, I noticed it was clouding the tank, ok ... no biggie, I had a gummi bear juice do this once too ... but when I went to take the tank apart, it had even melted the drip tip!!! Pretty much fused it to the tank!!

So ... needless to say, that stardust went to the trash! And I'm going to need a tank that can manage such liquid!

Right now, I use Vision Mini Novas, Vision Stardusts, Kanger T2s and Kanger T3s. I do have a few Dual Coil Cartomizers, but those tanks too are palstic, and I am generally not a carto fan.

I see they make metal tanks for the Novas ... my question about these is, are they all metal? Or a metal sleeve over the plastic? I don't want this juice touching plastic at all! They don't seem to be on good terms!

What other metal tanks do they make for wick style atomizers? I'd rather stay away from glass, but if I have to I will go in that direction. Do they make glass tanks for the Visions or Kangers?

I have a metal drip tip (or 2) so as long as the tank takes a 510 drip tip, I'll be good on that end.

Any suggestions?

The metal sleeves for VVN and mini-VVN are a replacement of the plastic tank.

I've used them for the full-size version. It was the only thing I used. Kind of irritating that you can't see the juice level by looking at it (have to unscrew and look in), but for the peace of mind, I didn't care.

As far as other tanks -- I can't help you there.

I haven't seen glass tubes for the VVN. They would have to be threaded to screw into the base and top, and I just don't see that happening any time soon. They'd also probably be so thin, they'd break really easily.

I would wonder about the plastic mouthpiece of the metal Vivi Nova's being susceptible to the volatile flavors. How well protected are they?

OCD from IBTANKED has looked into the possibility of supplying pyrex tubes for the Vivi's, he reports it's a no-go. He offers pyrex carto tanks with stainless steel endcaps for $22.50 to $24.50 depending upon the diameter (19 mm vs 25 mm).

The Anodized Aluminum Lil Moma (3 ml) and Big Daddy cartotanks (5ml) are pricey at $46 and $48, respectively. They have a slit on both sides of the metal tank to view the juice levels; I assume the window is made of frosted polypropylene as they claim the tanks are safe to use with all flavors without cracking or leaching. These are heavy, sturdy, well-made tanks.

Some other options besides a metal tank or pyrex glass tank:

Vision Grande clearo tank - $8. 4 long silica wicks in a frosted polypropylene tank and juice-safe plastic whistle tip mouthpiece. Holds 4 ml of liquid. The innards are not replaceable. Requires filling with a blunt or plastic needle tip. Demo video on product page.

GotVapes VISION Grande VM 510 4.5ML Tankomizer - WHITE Frosted [gv-visionGRANDE5ML-White] - $7.95 : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Phoenix top or bottom coil "cartomizer" - functionally a clearo with silica string wick in either a top coil format ($8) or bottom coil format ($12) with frosted polypropylene tubes. Hold 1.5 ml of juice. Filled with needle and syringe.
