Metallic after-taste

Hey there Great site. I just bought Joytech Ego-c starter kit and also purchased kanger t2 clearomizer but for some reason with the t2 I have metallic after taste is it normal? I have tried different liquids and low resistant 1.8 ohms clearomizer head, left it soak over night and still the same thing...any suggestions? I am using pg70/vg30 e-liquids or should I try different mixture ratio? I am off cigarettes 2nd day I don't want to give up vaping.

Welcome to the forum. Others will be along soon that have more knowledge about your clearomizer / metallic taste issue. Don't give up. I'm sure someone will have some ideas to help you. I don't use clearomizers so I don't have the answers

in my exp with attys not clearomizers there are some coils that are defected ie made in CHINA for cheap that gave me the metal or burnt electronic taste i would recommend a different clearomizer check your warranty also its a good thing to look for a local vendor so you dont have to deal with the dreaded wait normally you can find a backup atomizer for under 20 bucks as a back up for the wait that is if you have a wait

look for the proudly made in USA sticker in my opinion and avoid the gold china sticker not trying to put hate in a name just the quality honestly not trying to be rude just my own experiences

Your taste buds may be going through the typical ex-smoker taste bud revolt. How long has it been since you stopped smoking cigarettes? How long have you been using this particular clearomizer?

Hi Romann, Welcome to the Forum.
As already stated it's probably your tastebuds. Have you tried using a cartomiser? What's your juice flavour? Do you have any other juice, or just from the same vendor? Did you wash your clearomiser before use?
This could be many things, some people have a sensitivity to metallic tastes, some people swear they can taste metal when using NiChrome coils as opposed to Kanthal and visa-versa.

It certainly seems you know an awful Lot about this, can you please tell us who the US manufactures are? Can you also please give us your recommendation for the different clearomiser that has not been manufactured in China? Who charges more than $20 for an Atomiser?

more than 20 bux go to a kiosk in some random malls ive seen some up to $50 for a pos that trickled in comparison to my old pos before i knew even how to clean them and my knowledge is outdated you might say lol but and i believe the vivi nova is made in Albuquerque new Mexico but i could be mistaken and am to lazy for google lol

i am using the vivi on a side note but i want something that looks better but thats just in personal opinion of apearance i like the sleek look that blends well also the shiny metallic flow i think it shouldnt stop after the cone on my e-Vic lol i even have a metal tip on i just dont like the see through untill i find a chrome colored casing for the tank

I've had this problem before which was a simple fix (for me). I had an aluminum drip tip and would always taste it with whatever juice I had so if you have an aluminum tip, try changing it out and see if you still get that taste. I get this taste with most of the metal tips which is why I strictly use ceramic tips.
