The red powdercoat finish on mine still looks like the day I got it and it looked awesome then. It feels nice in hand too, A slight bit of tactility (more so than the blue anodized).

I don't put them thru any abuse though, I treat them as what they are - my salvation / liberators from 30 odd years of slavery to Phillip Morris company. I have never even dropped one yet and don't plan too either.

I did drop a door on the floor and it didn't even scratch it. Lovin the powdercoat here in South Park south.

Rob, those videos don't do it justice either. This purple metallic grand is gorgeous! It is washable right? Are you making any of the revised minis in metallic? Cause now I want a metallic mini.

They sure are pretty yes you can wash the powder coated mods hot soapy water wont hurt the finish . I will be powder coating the 2.1s so the metallic s will be in the line up

Not one to quote myself, but as I was writing the above, I thought "watch me start dropping it now".

Just dropped it unabated onto the hardwood floor. It Broke off the plastic drip tip and dented the carto. Slapped on a new one of each and it is like it never even happened. Not a scratch on the PC finish.

Last time I mention not dropping my REO...

I somehow got a couple of drops of superglue on the back of my silver vein vv grand. No idea how to get it off either. I usually use acetone to remove super glue but that won't work on this without messing up the finish. Any suggestions anyone?

Try some really hot water almost boiling this may loosen the glue enough to remove it . I have read w d 40 but I have never tried it use at your own risk . Acetone will take the glue off but it will dull the paint on the mod

Have no idea if it will work but baby oil will loosen some things without hurting finish.

Hi Rob! I just wanted to let you know that the purple metallic VVG I got is even prettier than the purple metallic Grand. This one is a deeper hue and just looks richer over all. Nice!!!!

I am glad you like it . I am getting better at powder coating

The sparkly colors are definitely a hit. DW loves the purple door on her black anodized oldschool grand. I am not much for purple but I really like it too! Think we might order up some spare doors in all the metallic colors once we get this surgery thing behind us and see where our finances are. Great job Rob!
