Metallic smell solution for mod?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place...

I have a couple mods that have a very strong metallic smell. Well, one of them, the chrome Vamo, isn't too bad. The all brass one though, the metallic smell is intense. I'm going to get a wrap for the Vamo but is there anything I can do to the brass one to cut down or get rid of the metallic smell?

I did a little research but didn't find much except that some people can smell it and some people can't. I don't want to cover the brass, it's a pretty little Pro-ms Trinity, a total splurge, and I don't want to ruin it either. Simi-chrome? Ren wax? Anything? The smell is so unpleasant to me that it's pretty unusable as is.

I had that problem with a Gogo tube mod. It started out black but I knew there was brass under the paint. Once I removed the paint I couldn't stand the smell of the metal. It looked good but was unusable. I polished it real well and then wrapped it with a piece of laminate (the stuff usually used for documents). Worked like a charm.

Thanks Mattiem. I did want to avoid wrapping it in something but I think I might have to. I think I have some clear heatshrink tubing around here somewhere. lol

Its the nature of brass I personally like the smell. Did you know brass is a antimicrobial? It was used hospitals but it was deemed to expensive and switched with Stainless Steel. Now we have a big problem with staff infection. Nothing but the best for your health
