I rebuild micro-coils all the time for my Protank 2. I use Peaches and Cream ( white ) Yarn. I do boil it. Using the yarn is much easier for me do to just having thread thru the coil....it takes out the guess work of how much cotton to use. Also I use Kanthal A-1 wire.
Here's a thread on how many wraps and wire gauge for coils -
I'm not concerned with wraps or anything like that, my go to devices are a kfl and russian 91. Was more just wondering if I need no resistance joins or not.

+1 on these threads. All the information you need, and then some. A properly built and wicked micro coil in a PT is a game changer; it makes the PT perform as well as it possibly can within the limitations of it's design.
