Just had a quick question for everyone regarding the Vision Vivi Nova. Many have stated that they get a burnt, muted, etc. flavor/taste from their Vivi. I have read that one of the problems with the older versions is that they constructed the head using resistance wire all the way from the contact point at the base of the head, up to the coil, and all the way back down. This leads to heating of the wires at the lower ends of the head. Some have stated that with the older versions you could fire the coil and look into it and see the wire glow red all the way down. I was lead to believe that version 2.5 of the Vivi is constructed of non-resistance wire from the bottom up to the coil, then they weld resistance wire to create the coil, then comes back down with non-resistance wire. I know a lot of people are rebuilding their Vivi Nova heads. Is anyone using this method, or is everyone using straight resistance wire all the way? I would like to start rebuilding them, but I'm concerned with using straight resistance wire. Most people are wedging the resistance wire between the metal and the "rubber" insulator. This is resistance wire which will heat up, possibly breaking down that "rubber" insulator.
