I've been using an x acto knife holder as a pen vice and using nails as mandrels to make tensioned micro coils lately. I keep loosing track of my 2MM drill bits, screwdrivers and things I've been using as mandrels lately so I started using 4d finish nails instead. I have a couple of thousand of those out in my garage and 4D nails make coils the perfect size for cotton yarn wicks. Anyway, I like to use Steam Engine | free vaping calculators to calculate my coil builds but I didn't know the diameter of the coils the nails were giving me. So after some research, I figured out what the gauges of nails corresponded to in diameter in both inches and millimeters. Hope some of you find this info useful.
