A few of my buddies at work are still using 3.7 volt 650mah batteries, and I have taught them all how to wrap 2.2 ohm micro coils and cotton wicks for their Protanks and mini Protanks. We have made a 510 adapter that connects to our digital multimeters to check them before use though. As Visus said, you always want to check for shorts before attaching it to your battery and firing it up.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.valsoft.vaperstoolbox this app for android can help you before you attempt this for a standard battery that is not vv or vw I would recommend 1.6 through 2.0 volts depending on your personal taste.
this video is me doing the process step by step.
This will work for puritank, protank, evod and davide coil heads.

can I use one on a kanger battery..3.7..I would rewick a coil on an evode (cause that's all I own)..not sure if my little battery can handle a microcoil..thanks!!

I wrap my friends' coils at 2.2 ohms, because, while it doesn't produce a ton of vapor, it produces a good bit and gives a little extra battery life through the day for them.

It truly depends on gauge on kanthal or nichrome

@2.2Ω #32 slightly less than 1/16 micro im mimic'ing sub ohm vapes and its a hot vape thats my hot vape coil
my monster vape coil is 1.7ohms. I use ego's daily.
