I've watched plenty of youtube videos about the MPV 2 but I haven't heard anything that will tell me how different it will be from my eGo Twist battery. Would I notice better taste/vapor or is it basically just a bigger battery with a display and different circuitry? I'm using a ProTank 2 at the moment and I really like the way it vapes. Just a little on the fence right now, I know it's only about $40 depending on where you buy it from, but that's still $40 and I'm a little cheap sometimes lol

Has anyone gone from an eGo to an MPV 2 before, and if so, what did you notice about the switch?

I went from a ego twist to a MVP 2 and I noticed a big difference. its a variable voltage. can switch on the fly. The battary is huge. will last you 3 days easy with a protank 2. much better flavor. I just recently got a Igo-L RDA. Soo I'm rebuilding the coil and adding cotten wick.
Tons better using a RDA over a tank heheheh
but nothing wrong with using your pro tank 2 on it. you'll love it

There is enough of a technical difference in how the electronics function that a lot of people do notice the difference. Basically, it's the frequency at which the DC voltage is produced. An eGo is doing it at 33 Hz, the MVP operates at a much higher frequency than that. The lower the frequency the harsher the vape.

Had to comment because this was my exact transition. I will tell you it is worth it. Battery life is wayyyyy better. And there is a noticeable upgrade in vapor production and flavor delivery. (imo) plus you can charge it with most phone chargers, and use it while charging.

Careful with the phone charger we don't need another exploding vaporizer story like the guy blowing his up with the ipad charger.

It's awesome. I love mine. I started with ego twist and a vision spinner. (pretty much same thing). My ego was a 900 mah and spinner was 1300 if I remember correctly. Was always having to have one charging or charged. The 900 would last about half a day. The 1300 would almost last all day.

Upgraded to the MVP 2.0 and the battery lasts me now 2-2/12 days and I vape heavily so it's used constantly. Biggest factor for me. Still have my ego as a backup when the MVP needs a charge. It seems like it'll take almost 5 hours to charge, but I let the battery drain all the way.

So, biggest factor for me was the battery life, which is awesome. Yes, as others have posted, I notice better flavor too. I use tanks (mainly iclear 16's) and do have a kanger aerotank. This was my first (and only) VW battery and I do like it. Most of the time I keep it on 8W. There area a few juices I like a little hotter, but 8 seems to be good for me. That's just me and I know everyone is different not to mention juices are different too. Since I mainly vape fruit flavored juices that's a good setting because too much warmer and they get that burnt taste.

The usb charger is a neat gimmick, but I've never used it. I suppose in a pinch it would be nice but who wants to rob precious battery life when you could be vaping lol. The built in ohm meter and other settings are nice features too. It does have a hit counter, but to me that's just a feature that is neat, but seldom used. I don't care how many puffs I've taken, although I am surprised sometimes on how many :).

Since the egos don't have a counter I don't know how many hits I was getting before the battery needed a charge. I do know on the MVP I can get 1200-1300 usually before a charge, but again a lot of that is going to be relative based on how long you hold the button when you vape, how many ohms you're atomizer etc. is; your voltage/wattage setting, etc.

I paid $50 for mine at my local B&M. It came with 2 iclear 16s, a beauty ring and charger. Considering the tanks are $5-$6 that's a battery for under $40. Awesome price for the battery.

I have no regrets, and if anything happened to it I'd buy another in a heartbeat. It does max out at 11W which for me is more than enough. I don't ever vape that high.

Thanks everyone for the great feedback! I feel well enough informed to go ahead and grab one of these things! I think the only question I have is about charging the thing right out of the box. I've heard that it comes with a charge but that it's important to give it a full charge (from dead) as soon as you can. I also heard things about the battery life reading you get from the screen being inaccurate and that the way it was charged had something to do with that. Is there any reason for any of that?

My first vv/vw device was the mvp 2 and its a great device. Once I received my mvp I just put it on the charger without playing with it and it took about 2 hours to fully charge so the battery wasn't as low as I expected it to be. I haven't paid any attention to the battery reading on the display, I get about 1 1/2 to 2 days of charge before the indicator light goes from green to yellow. Once I see yellow, I plug it back it and takes about 3-4 hours to charge to full again. Seems to be a well build device for the cost and would recommend it.

I have two MVP2s. I had two of another brand and they both died from the same problem (electronics), so I had to make a switch. The MVP2 has a lot of good features and is well respected on here. I have a bunch of tanks (bcc), but it is much better than my previous, which cost about the same. I would like to get an RBA but I am going to be traveling for about 6-8 months and I want to keep things simple.

Anyway, the MVP is very good for such a low price. I appreciate mine.
