Might sound like a really dumb question about voltage but...

...Whats the difference? Please excuse my ignorance, and I am certain that i could go through ALL the posts to answer me, but I like when people tap to me :)
I have only seriously started vaping in October.
I have a ego 900 that I bought in july for about 70 bucks. It came with two batteries and the chargers. I see so many posts referring to the "ohms" and sizes that I had to ask...

those links should be a good place to start.. but basically being able to adjust the combo of voltage + ohms (ohms law) let's you set the wattage to your device... some like alot of wattage for more vapor.. or some like it lower for cooler, more tasty vapor.

i guess it's just nice being able to control the way you vape

Here is a simple little tool that will help make all that stuff make sense.
    Ohms Law Calculator

In the end it's the power level (watts) that we worry about, not the volts or resistance. Once we know the power level that tastes good (say 7w for example) it becomes easy to figure out the rest.

So if you want that 7w of power, and you have a 3ohm carto, you would need 4.6v to get there, but since you have a 3.4v battery, you will need a 1.7ohm carto to get your 7 watts.
