I'm deployed in Iraq and vape. Packages take like 3-4 weeks to get out here. Sometimes they're miracled over here and get here the same week they were shipped.

I don't think it'll catch on too easily with deployed troops when you can buy a pack of cigarettes for 50 cents, $5 a carton.

I'll be back stateside in like 2 months, so no point of sending me anything right now.

What he said...cigs are too cheap over there, and you're not exactly worried about the cigs killing you...;) I'm stateside again, and don't mind buying my own stuff...I just started. What does bother me, is the are pimping the smoke everywhere cigs at the BX/PX...They are selling the single e-cig with only 1 battery and 5 carts for $90! I've already turned my troops away from them.

Thank you for thinking of deployed military members! It really means a lot. People loved us post 911, but their disdain for us grew constantly every month after.:(

i just started vaping, and am in cahoots with multiple recruiters at the moment. at this point Army looks like my branch of choice... Ive always loved to write, travel, and a little (or a lot) of discipline couldn't hurt - and as career, a military journalist seems right up my alley. With any luck, and the aid of a 92 on my ASVAB, you can say hello to one of our newest US Army Public Affairs Specialists.

PS, Just got my 510 about 36 hours ago, and after the coffee straw cart MOD, can finally picture myself smoke free... Will see if ceejay has any left.

Ive seen many a soldiers vape on my flights!!! Sent a few starter kits to the ones that really took to it!!!

As far as how ecigs handle in desert extremes, Keep an eye out for my upcoming thread in the Travel and Ecig section Titled "Ecig function in Kuwait" Im in Kuwait now, and am noticing different things regarding my 801 and 901's performance. I will also add pics to the thread...
