I do. I don't want to break off and lose the little tab for the port. So I do charge the batt in a charger.

You can charge it on a charger or thru the USB cable I bought two 18350 batts put them on my charger then tried it out and I have charged thru USB cable also. I have been able to put the tab back in first time it bugged me for 5 minutes but once you know how it goes back in its like second nature.
Cheers

I charge batteries in a charger now but I ripped that little tab off the first time I charged the battery inside the eVic and I don't miss it. My 18350 tube will be here tomorrow and I'm looking forward to having a smaller device in my pocket or in stores. I carry my LTv2 everywhere and it's a beast.

Edit: if the heat warning blinks at you and you can tell it's not too hot, change the heat warning setting to a little hotter.

The only issue I have been getting is the heat sensor comes on with the short tube anyone else getting that.

You need to check your Temp warning setting. You may have it to low. If set properly, you may have a current flow problem. i.e. bad battery/bad spring/circuit issue.

This might be a noob question but how do you change the mah setting to 18350? I've tinkered with this thing trying to figure it out but I can't! Is it even possible?

Do you mean using the usb cable? Thats the way they are ment to be charged you dont take the battery out.
That's not true. You can charge your batteries either way. It isn't designed to only charge via USB they just give you the option, USB or battery charger.

I prefer to take my batteries out because A. My charger is very nice and B. I have multiple batteries and always have at least one charged so I never have a device that I cannot use. Meaning when the battery dies I put a freshly charged batt in the PV and put the dead batt on my charger.

Yeah but does the charge work with the 18350 tube? The charge obviously would need to go from the main part with the screen through to the tube and charge the battery right. So whoever took that picture, does it work?

There is no reason why it would not work with the 18350 tube. The only diffidence is the length.
