Hey all,

Relatively new to vaping. Just switched from Kanger G5 tank and a Joyetech 510 battery to a Miini protank 3 and Ego C twist 650 battery.

I love the Ego battery. Unfortunately, the Protank 3 has been giving me both significantly less flavour and vapour on the draw compared to relatively meh-ish quality of the G5.

Am I doing something wrong? When I clean the the Mini protank 3, should I be rinsing the coil as well, or just the metal parts? Should I be using it on Ego battery on 'variable voltage' mode where the LED turns orange to help the performance of the protank? There's not a lot of documentation on how exactly to get the performance out of the Ego battery or the Mini protank 3.

I paid for the performance and the extra tank storage, and right now i'm not really enjoying either because flavour seems dull, vapour reduction is reduced, and if I really kick the battery into gear I just really get a harsh throat hit. Not sure where to go from here.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the quick reply - I've only used the coil for 2 refills, both times I've dumped almost half of them because I thought I was doing something wrong. Really not sure how to clean the coil itself - seems to be hanging onto the first flavour I tried (Red bull, ew). But I don't think I'm due for a replacement yet.

Also - not sure how to take advantage of VV. All Joyetech's documentation says on the matter is to long press the button while the battery is off to activate VV, and the LED will flash orange instead. This happens, but there's no VV settings to toggle, no noticeable change at all. Just flashes orange instead.

It's easy to clean the atomizers, and surprising it's simple to rebuild them as well. At the very basic go ahead and run warm water through the atomizer for a good while. This will clean out the wick and coil partially. Honestly, I have the protank 3 and dual coil setup doesn't work very well. The second coil seems to just burn the already created vapor. Mine are now converted to a lower ohm single coil with cotton wick. Once the coils become saturated you get a harsh tasteless vapor. The tank and atty should be cleaned or replaced with juice change. I've done without either and once the new flavor wicks in the change takes place. In this case I'm going to assume your atomizer is trashed with gunk...
