Funny, and made clear the differences. Definitely going for the 2 after payday and if it doesn't come with the ring, will buy separately since it seems worth it for more than aesthetics.

mine had the beauty ring/plinth. unfortunately, the heads that came with it were garbage - both fired, but one leaked like a sieve and the other, when installed in the base and screwed down onto the battery/PV, would not draw at all. like sucking molasses thru a straw. weird. i just used an old rebuilt head and all was good.
Yeah, I would definitely go with the 2. You can replace every piece of it and they don't use glue like the first version did, plus you can use your own drip tip.

I had two friends order these and got the collar I ordered the next day and didn't pretty weak
I bought 2 of them from VaporLeaf and both came with the collar. Go figure.
As far as adding strength, twice now I've sat down with my c-twist/Protank in my back pocket and bent the heck out of it. I simply straightened it out and they're still working fine. I bought a lanyard to keep me from doing that but we'll see how it goes.

I Have five pro tanks 2-1s 1-1.5 and 2-2s all came with a coller. 2 puchased on line 3 from local vender. all in black and red boxes.
Ordered both of mine through AllAmericanVape.com, separate orders, both came with 2 coils and a collar.

Mine came with the collar, but only because after seeing this thread I scrutinised the vendor pages: seems roughly 50-50 whether they come with or without.
Just got my ProTank 2 today. Its awesome. Vapes great and looks better with the replaceable driptip.
the drip tip on my protank 2 was very loose i wrapped some thread behind the o-ring to tighten it up
mine came with 2 coils, the collar and 2 rubber o rings that i have no idea what they are for. sorry new to protank. anyone know why they are in the box?
