I got some in the mail from HHV as we speak. Should be here this weekend or Monday. I'll see how they work and post up on it.

I keep hearing about people putting cotton wicks on novas and nother rebuilable type tanks/clearos. If cotton is so much better, why aren't manufactorers making units with cotton? I guess you can't dry burn the cotton, but I've never had much luck with that. Dry burning seems to turn the wick under the coil black.... seems like after its turned dark it always has a hint of that burnt taste.

When I dry burn, I only do 3 second blasts (when the wick is still a little wet from cleaning) until I can see the coil glow wile looking down the center. As soon as it glows I stop, but that still seams to turn the wick that brownish burnt color.

The first time I tried to dry burn it seemed like I would burn the wick..... However, the wicks are silica not cotton. The dark you are seeing is actually liquid residue. If you continue to dry burn in short 5-6 second intervals after a while you will see the white wick under the coils. I was scared the first time I tried it. Thought I would ruin something. It does, however, remove the residue and the atomizer can be reused a few times. It will depend on a few things, no two seem exactly alike. It was amazing to see white under the coils after firing the battery and seeing a total glow from the coils. Each person seems to have a different take on it. some rinse and dry burn after every tank full. Others say they never dry burn??? Mostly personal preference I guess. I personally, clean and dry burn when they start tasting funny. Some units have went through 5 or 6 cycles of this. Others have tasted off after the 1st dry burn. You just have to experiment and see what works for you.

Yea, I'm starting to notice there's a lot of right differant "right" answers to the same topics and questions. Kinda an artform for a lot of ecig stuff. Definatly much more of a hobby than the analog cigs where I'm finding out.

Yea, after getting three or four mop heads and having time to fully test them out I have also determined that they are a waist of money. Half or more of them leaked out the bottom, even after only a day or two of use. Plus they have no throat hit. If you turn up the volts far enough to get a throat hit you just end up with a nasty taste.

To bad, I had high hopes for them, especially with so many wicks in them.
