Before use, rinse wick in hot water, dry with cloth or paper towel, being careful not to pull on the wick. Put on device, without the little cap that goes over the wick, juice, or top cap. Dry burn (fire device) in 3 to 5 second bursts until you see the coil glowing red. Do a couple more bursts. Put the little cap back over the wick. Fill tank with fluid, put top cap back on. Give a minute or so for wick to absorb juice. Enjoy.

This seemed to help me with most of my vivi nova problems, so good luck.

Yea it is working, just concerned if it is what I'll get with it. This is labeled Vision 2.5 2ml but the wick is different from carto's I have. This one looks more like a rope... thicker? Dunno how to describe it properly in English, looks much more like capron rope rather than silica wick.

Getting flavor after dry burning. Thanks for that advice. Sadly, can't say the same about throat hit and I got 18mg nicotine juice...
My biggest problem is I have no idea how it should taste, maybe juice is jsut pure garbage and I'm panicking for nothing.

I see people writing muted flavor with the vivi nova but I think it is better than the stardust. You should be able to at least taste the fluid. Remember it isnt like you are eating the real thing like an apple pie or a piece if fruit. The nicotine you are using should provide a good throat hit so I would say maybe check the fit of the tank against the battery and give it a day or so to break in. I know mine didn't taste as well as I thought it would the first tank I tried but it either got better or I just got used to it.

I was under the impression that muted flavor was with VG liquids. Flavor I'm getting is fine after washing head, I still haven't received "fancy" juices and just got some strawberry and cigarCherry... so there is no much of a flavor, but I do get it now anyway.
Throat hit is whats left. Is it possible that my cheap carto had burned coil that added throat hit? Or at least sensation of that? The one I've used has burned wick, really black spots on it.

If it didn't taste burnt, than it probably wasn't burnt (enough to impact th, anyway) Different delivery systems may impact th, but i wouldn't expect a strawberry flavor to have a very strong th regardless.

Well it did, had to wash and dry burn it every day, and keep liquid over 1ml mark or it will do dry burn hit, and tip it all the time.
So yeah, it is a bad carto. That's why I ordered Vivi.
I know nothing compares to analog throat hit and taste, but I'm still fighting them. I actually enjoyed them more than vaping, hope that juices will fill the void I'm having now.

Some juices just don't have enough flavoring. That's why I DIY. My taste buds need 18-25% of some flavors. Everyone's individual taste varies and after 40+ years of smoking, mine are toast. Go heavier on the PG for greater throat hit. You'll nail it eventually.

All my orders are for 80/20 pg/vg. That one I figured out quickly by buying one vg liquid :)
I'm too new to start with DIY liquids, at least I think so, just almost 4 weeks of vaping and still figuring out equipment. Vamo is in the mail to get into VV and see how it works out. And yeah, lots of juices from different vendors :)
I'll see how it'll work out before starting DIY liquids.

other then that maybe the battery isnt getting it hot enough but i doubt it.

This is the issue actually. TakeAir battery fully charged does not provide enough power for vivi. Get like half a vape when really trying with it... and the unbranded ego-ce5 works almost fine with it, when fully charged. Hard to tell what's "proper" just from observing videos, but I'd say I still get less vapor with same pg/vg ratio juice.

Both are powering CE4 knock-offs just fine
