My mini Protank came today! I've run a complete tank through it and wanted to share my first impressions.

First, I think it's gorgeous. Love the gunmetal sleeve for the coil head. No ml markings like the original, very sleek looking.

Surprisingly, I love the tip. Its shape and small diameter make it very comfortable, actually my favorite so far.

I ran a tank almost totally dry and it never gurgled once or leaked a drop.

There is a difference in the draw from the original, but it's still airy. On the mini, however, instead of a nagging sense of something being lacking, it just feels effortless.
I think maybe it might be because it hits warmer and delivers more flavor for me that the easy draw seems so nice on this.

All in all a great vape, I'm thrilled and plan to buy more. I just ordered a pack of replacement heads from Health Cabin on the dirt-cheap and think I'd better go back for more! :)

I'm so sorry I've not tried the evod so I'm unable to offer a comparison between the two for you; I use vision mini vivis for sweet stuff and the protank for cracking suspects. I thought I was kind of waiting for a glass version of the nova to switch over completely because I found my original protank so annoying, but now I guess I'd better have both :p

Thanks for posting your review, samuraijill. My 2 minis are en route, was hoping they'd arrive yesterday, but alas no, so I'm hanging around the front window today waiting for the vapemailperson... Have to say this is the first time in 8 mos. of vaping that I've been so excited about receiving a new product!

Myrany asks:
Probably been asked before but does the mini protank take the same heads as the full size one?

Yes, both protanks use the same heads.

Great review and you have sold me! I would like to know what you are using as the battery and what head/volts if it is a variable. I still fight with my Pro Tank. It is enough of a pain that I might just take it to the next VapeMeet in CO and see if anyone wants to trade with me.

I have pre ordered the PT2 and can't wait to see if I am happier with the new design.

Something that should be pointed out: The mini as for right now, only comes Ego threaded. It does not play nice with the Ego-510 adapter I have. So, I find myself having to purchase an Ego bat just so I can use the two minis I have (That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it) :p

 It's always nice, isn't it, to have a reason for buying something new?!

I should have mentioned I am using mine with vision spinner 1300, usually between 3.3 and 3.9 v

I LOVE my protank mini's :D Perfect size for out and about. I have tried with ego adapters and without and haven't had any trouble with them at all. I've been using mine on my Robust A's and my Sqwall. (both 14500 mods) I'm going to be ordering more too. I do have the evods and they are very much comparable to them as far as taste/vape to me. Alot lighter in weight then the bigger Protank too :D
