*sigh* I miss living in MN - yes, even in the winter. Lived in Oslo (SW of Rochester), .... Rapids, and White Bear Lake (both N Twin Cities subs). Left in 2000 to carry my wife back south (she's a GA Peach). Now living in NC.

What Dacoopah, no walleyes in NC? Walleyes don't get me excited. They're nothing but wusses, although they're pretty tasty. I live for the bass opener. They know how to battle. You must have bass down there. Actually, I'd prefer fishing stream trout, over walleyes. They taste as good and pound for pound, much better fighters.

Sorry for the late post - major depression the Vikings lost no superbowl this year.

We still have Bullhead Days in the summer. Not what it was like years ago though

But Elysian is fun during 4th of July. Woot!!!

Walleye opener was a tradition for me and my dad for many years, holds a special spot in my heart.

But you're right...Bass are a lot more fun to fish for and catch. Northern & Muskie ain't too shabby neither

I lived up by Nisswa several years ago. I was working for a crook that owned a freeze dry company right next to Babe Winkelman's office. That's a nice area.
