How are you
@IDJoel - I feel so stupid posting in the wrong subforum, this is not the only forum I am part of.
Please, don't feel stupid... not for that, anyway. As I said, I have posted in the wrong area, and am likely to do it again. I had no intention to chastise; only inform. ECF is not the most intuitive format... and I was only trying to share from my own experiences/faux pas.
To be honest its a bit of both, I want to be part of the community - but also sharing the knowledge that come out of these sessions.
Fair enough. I am
not part of the administration/moderators, that make up the "official" checks and balances, that helps to define "what" ECF is.
I am simply
one individual that has found a place that I am comfortable calling ECF my
vaping "home." Other sites have been too elitist (Reddit), and some have just been too rude and snarky (VU), and yet others too sporadic (elr). All have been useful, and informative, but I keep returning to ECF.
ECF has (to
me) been a community of education, non-judgement, differing points of view, and encouragement.
Is it the right choice for everyone? I highly doubt it.
Is it perfect? Absolutely not (in
my opinion. Don't we all have room for improvement?)!
All I know, is ECF fills a need for me, I appreciate it, and I do what I can to support it. I do my best to support the culture, and spirit, that ECF has been to me. My hackles tend to raise, whenever I see folks taking advantage of this wonderful community. Whether it is mindless shilling of "outside revenue streams" (aka. shameless fishing for YouTube hits regardless of worthy contents). Or, this site's own shameless
social advertising... in the name of "Giveaways." It makes me sad.
I'm finding myself checking into ECF more regularly now to respond to comments - I dont know much of the community at this point - but hoping people can see that I mean no harm.
Knowing the community; is spending time with the community. Sorry; but it is the truth.
We have all sorts. Those that dive right in and take part in everything. Those that only lurk and never post a thing. And others still that only come here for a very limited/defined interest/need.
I, personally, welcome them all. What I don't condone, is those that only want to bleed/abuse this community for their own personal gain.
In
my opinion; be a contributing part, stay in the shadows, or find somewhere in between. Just DON'T come here and profiteer off of such a great community. Do your best to give back more than you get (it is harder than you think

).
As for you "meaning no harm"... what the heck? Your videos have a lot of good information... if you can wade through all the excess. I am glad you, and your partners, are willing to give your time, and share your experiences. Thank you!
However... do you
ever sit through the
entire clips of your video posts? Really... do you? A mediocre production will spend an equal amount of time on post-production as they do during initial production. A quality/memorable production can often take 3, even 4 times the work, to get meaningful/quality results. If you can't sit through it (each and every one); how/why do you expect us to?
Just a little food for thought.
