Mixing 0mg nic juice to make different strengths?

Hi,

I have a large bottle (200ml) of 0mg nic e-liquid from an online vendor and I was wondering if someone could help me out. I want to make let's say 20 10ml bottles but I would like to have some at 24mg nic and some at 18mg because my wife and I vape different levels. I don't have the nicotine yet but I was looking at some on wizardlabs site. What would be the best mg/ml to buy?

I have checked out some of the posts in this forum and the calculators but I don't want to make any mistakes. I was hoping someone could explain it to me for my specific needs and maybe I'd get a better understanding for the procedure. I guess I dont' need 20 bottles since I am only making 2 different nic strengths. I could get away with making 2 100ml bottles (1 in 18 and 1 in 24) and then put it in smaller bottles to make it easier to fill up tanks.

I have read that the flavor is going to be diluted by doing this, and I'm wondering how much it will affect the taste. Since I am trying to make 18 and 24, should I have gotten the liquid in 12mg nic strength to lessen the amount adding nicotine will dilute it?

Thanks,

The Tourist

I have never heard of 0mg nic. That means there is no nicotine. I buy 100mg nic in PG then add the same amount of PG to make it 50mg nicotine. You should download the EJuiceMeUp calculator. Get familiar with it then when you understand it you can make your 18 and 24mg mix without any guesswork or help. Also make sure you have some recipes you want to make and order the flavors along with your nic PG and VG. Good luck

If you want to add flavorless nic liquid to your existing flavored zero nic liquid you're indeed going to dilute the taste. To minimize this you should buy the strongest flavorless nic liquid available so 100mg/ml is indeed the right choice. However, to make 24mg you need to add 24% of the flavorless liquid so that's almost a quarter of your final product. The taste will suffer a great deal.

The math for this is pretty easy. All you need to do is this:

[concentration you want/concentration of your nic base] x how many mL you want to make = how many mls of base you need to add.

So for example, if you want 10 ml of 12mg/ml, and your base is 100 mg/ml:

[(12 mg/ml)/(100 mg/ml)] x 10 ml = 1.2 ml

So, you'd add 1.2 ml of 100 mg/ml base to 8.8 ml of the 0mg/ml juice to give you 10 ml total of 12 mg/ml juice.

It's not as hard as it sounds. In the calculator, you would enter your desired PG/VG ratio and the strength of your nicotine and what base it is (Pg or Vg). From that it will give you the PG, VG, Nicotine and flavor amounts. You would just add the combined VG/PG for your Omg base, the nicotine ML listed and the flavors. (as opposed to measuring the VG and PG without nicotine separately)
