so I do a fair amount of DIY with different nic level bases for mixing my juices. I just found a new online source to buy zero nic level base from to make me some zero nic mixes or to change the nic levels of higher strengths to lower strengths...I'm wondering is it or would it even be worth my time and effort to buy a large amount of zero nic base and use it to cut down my higher nics to achieve a wanted lower nic mix, or should I just continue to buy all my nic bases in different nic levels like I'm currently doing? it would probably turn into a hassle to do it, but I could save some cash by cutting down my higher nic bases using the zero nic strength base...does anybody else do this? is it worth the time and effort to save some cash? please advise me !!!

I could be wrong but I would think zero nic base is just a mixture of pg and vg and possibly a bit of distilled water. I bought a gallon each of pg, vg and distilled water. I just mix them to whatever percentage and viscosity I need at the time. It is a lot more cost effective doing it this way for me.

yes, more cost effective...but really i'm wondering if it is worth the hassle and time to do all the added mixing? it's already so easy for me to just use a base mix with the pre-determined nic level already in it. I currently mix juices with 6, 13, and 18 nic levels and soon to start doing 24 nic juices and want to do some zero nic mixes...I have not calculated the money I'd save buy purchasing the larger amounts of zero nic and then diluting the higher strengths, but might not be worth the time involved...?

In my case the cost savings is worth the little bit of extra work involved. Since I make almost all of my e-juice close to 50pg/50vg I usually mix up at least a quart of 50pg/50vg no nic and buy my nic at 100mg also 50/50. Adding the flavoring raises the percentage of pg/vg to slightly higher on the pg side but that works for me. My finished product ends up at about 60/40.

Only takes me a few minutes to mix up my no nic base but you have to determine if the lower cost is where you want to go or if you would rather save those few minutes and buy it already mixed for you.

The least expensive (reputable) option that I know of for nicotine for DIY'ers right now is 100 mg/ml nicotine base in liter bottles. There are several vendors offering them at less than $50 right now. You can dilute it to any strength you want, but it is a hazardous substance so read the safety stickies at the top of this subforum.

I went ahead and purchased the zero nic 50/50 base and went ahead also and bought my usual line of 6 nic, 12 nic, 18 nic and 24 nic bases...I'm gonna experiment and see what happens. I wanted to try out some zero nic base anyway and see how that vapes and see how big the throat hit is (if any at all) and see if I really notice any differences in taste or TH...
