100% VG is heavy on wicks and coils. There's many juices that have 100% VG, but you'll need a decent setup to vape them.

If you want to thin the juice down, use PG - Propylene Glycol. I use 50/50 PG/VG then about 10-20% flavour. It vapes nicely. As for mixes, get yourself a calculator and some 5-10ml bottles. You'll need to mix different amounts to find the right balance for yourself. I can recommend the calculator I use if you're on android.... Search E-juice Lab in the play store, hasn't let me down yet

I don't think you want to use the kind of Vanilla extract you cook with. That's usually made with oils and alcohol - neither one great to vaporize.
You should read through a gazillion posts in the "DIY" threads - there are tips and recipes, etc.

(EDIT - lol, I didn't realize we were already HERE in the DIY threads when I wrote that first part...)

What you want IS food-grade flavoring, but not the stuff you get in a supermarket. There are a ton of websites that sell the flavorings we use to mix our liquid...you could look at DIYFlavorShack perhaps, or WizardLabs, or RTSVapes...

That was my thought; grocery-store vanilla extract is about 50% alcohol -- or more -- and it does contain sugar, which you absolutely do not want to vape; it will turn your coil/wick into a black stinking mess. That much alcohol in a vape would make it far too harsh for any human to find enjoyable. The flavors used for vaping *are* food-grade, but they're in PG, sometimes with a small amount of alcohol, and sometimes in VG (with some alcohol) for the PG-intolerant.

The thing about VG is that it's thick, and so wicks more slowly; an RDA should be able to handle it fine, as long as the power isn't too high -- VG wicks so slowly, so too much heat will vaporize it faster than it can wick, leading to dry hits.
