Hi

What do I get if mix 16mg say 2 ml with 2ml of 6mg....sorry, I don't understand the calculators

Thanks

The Formula to find mg/ml is

The Total Nicotine divided by the Total Milliliters.

You have 2ml of 16mg/ml => 2 x 16 = 32mg of Nicotine.

And 2ml of 6mg/ml => 2 x 6 = 12mg of Nicotine.

So your Total Nicotine of BOTH e-liquids is 44mg

And you Total Milliliters is 2ml + 2ml = 4ml

So if you Mixed Both e-liquids together you would have...

(32mg + 12mg) / (2ml + 2ml)

=> 44mg / 4ml

=> 11mg/ml

So the Result would be 4ml @ 11mg/ml

I'm not as smart as ZoiD...so I subtracted 1 from 16 and added 1 to 6 until I got to the middle. hahaa

My Dad used to say that... "There are Many Ways to Skin a Cat".

Probably not PC in todays age. But a Good say'n all the Same.

Right! Today, we probably have to say something like "There are many ways to take in a homeless cat and feed it and nurture it until it is strong enough to survive on it's own."

Hey No Problem.

And when it comes to Numbers, many times it Helps to show it to someone else and have them Explain it to you.

Someone else may Explain it a little different and it will Make more sense.

Thank you, I finally get it! Just one final question please...does the vg/pg ratio matter at all?

Cool.

The PG to VG Ratio does Matter with regards to the Amount of Flavor and the Amount Vapor of you get from a Hit.

More PG = More Flavor (but can become Harsh) and Less Vapor

More VG = More Vapor and Slightly Less Favor

As to do the PG to VG Ratio effecting the mg of Nicotine? No. it has No Effect on the Nicotine Level.

You'd STILL be cypherin'...

No Problem khalidmna. Just passing along what I have learned in my Travels here on the ECF.

I think Many people think doing DIY is some Great Feat. But after they get a few Basics down, they realize that it is Not Harder than mixing a Drink. Or making a simple dish from a Recipe.

To an extent Zoid, but i have seen explanations that go something like "let mg you want =x and the ml of liquid one = y ...."

3 lines later i have lost the will to live!

T

I'm probably Guilty of posting a few of those Let mg = X and let ml = Y Posts. LOL

What I have Noticed is when things get Ugly, and when the Math gets Complex, is when someone is trying to Save some e-Liquid.

I've read many posts like this...

"Hi Guys.

I have a 17ml bottle of 30|70 @ 18mg Pineapple and I wanted to change the PG|VG ratio. So I added 13ml of 20|80 @ 24mg Watermelon to it. After I vaped 1/3 of the Bottle, I decided that the Flavor was too Strong so I added 3ml of Pure VG.

What should I do to it to make the mix 50|50 @ 14mg?"

What should they Do? I'll tell you what they should do. They should Realize that they are Making things Needlessly Complex in order to save 60 Cents worth of e-Liquid.

My best Advise to anyone New to DIY is to Keep Detailed and Accurate Records of Everything you Do. And Don't be afraid to Throw out Small amounts of e-Liquids when something doesn't go Right.
