Just got some VG from a health store because my 5ml freebies that came with my order is high strength (36mg), and I'd rather have it around 18mg strength.

Do I need to mix water with it or something? In order to dillute the 36mg juice to 18mg juice then I need to mix it 50/50, so id I need to use water then how much water do you throw in to that mix..just enough to make it thinner?

I suggest you get some 0 nic of the same flavor and mix it. If you attempt to mix your 5ml with 50/50 VG you will also dilute the flavor and the results may be less than optimal.

I usually do add a little VG to the juices I get, but not enough to cut it to half the mg. Agree, your best bet is to order a bottle of 0mg of the same juice so you retain the flavor level.

The VG I buy at the health food store is very thick, I do cut it with distilled water to get it the right consistency.

That is EXACTLY what you are supposed to do!!!!!!!!! If you get pure VG...you have to dilute it a little for consistency and you are REALLY supposed to only use distilled water. QUESTION: Whats your ratio? I haven't figured it out yet but I have some "VG Juice from ELiquitplanet.com" that is flavorless and 0mg. I am working on exactly how much Dist. Water to add to the PURE VG I purchased to make them the same. The juice I got from eliquidplanet was and is an AMAZING VAPOR PRODUCER. A couple drops and you get HUGE PLUMES OF VAPOR even if your carto isn't a big vapor producer. Love it and carry it around with me so I always have HUGE PLUMES. It makes an ecig more satisfying (I think).

SORRY!!! I didn't really give you the correct info. Here it is: 38. Flavorless Non (0mg) VG - eliquidplanet.com Thats for the 0 nic VG juice. I'll all tasty but especially with non or low-vapor juices or cartos...and mix them with this or add a couple of drops...trying not to dilute the flavor too much. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!! Like I said though I have purchased PURE VG and plan on diluting it with distilled water because thats what all DIY places suggest as most benign method of making the consistency right. Its 13ish bucks for 15ml off that stuff from eliquidplanet so thats why I'm working on making my own. I'll let you know if I ever really figure it out. Maybe you will before I do??? Lemme know. THANKS!!!
Happy Saturday!!

Try figuring out what juice concentration you want to end up with. For example, if you want 18 mg of 10 ml juice, work out how much VG you need to add. Remember that your end product of VG , if desired to be 50 % should also allow for the water you added. If you want to use 5 ml of each, then your VG should be 20% water (1 ml) & 80 % VG (4ml) this will be sufficient to change the viscosity enough to make it draw into a 16 gauge needle. Mix in your e-juice , 38 MG in your case, and shake till the color is consistent. You should now have 10 ml of 18 MG preferred juice. One word of caution, your cart will burn hotter with this much VG. For some reason the heat transfer is more pronounced in the VG solutions than in pure PG juice. Some basement chemist can probably explain this, or has some where else in this forum.
