I got some unflavored WTA and nicotine base at 60mgs. My thinking is, the WTA provides the 5% minor alkaloids while the nicotine base provides the other 95%, so it seems safe to combine them. But, I'm really not sure about this. And if I do combine them, what ejuice calculator do I use? I don't know how much to add of each to keep it within a safe limit at 22-24mgs.

Has anyone done this or know of reasons why it cannot be done?

Thanks!

The WTA is part of the nicotine base correct? Wouldn't you just treat that like any other nicotine base and cut it down to the correct percentage with vg and or pg? Or do you mean unflavored WTA e-liquid? If so what is the nic in it? For example if it were 10 ml of 24mg and you wanted to end up with 30ml of 18ml by using additional 60ml nic to make up the difference. I have a calculator that will let me do the math for you but I don't know of one that is generally available yet.

And no there is no danger in doing it but the percentage of WTA will drop below 5% if your adding an alternate nicotine source that does not contain WTA.

I mean separate WTA juice combined with regular nicotine base juice.

The WTA is at 25mgs (3 ~ 10 ml bottles at 100% VG), the nicotine is 60mgs (30ml bottle at 100% PG). I will be diluting using vg/pg and concentrates and shooting for roughly 50vg/50pg, if this is even possible. I would like to make 3 separate 10 ml batches of different flavors. Does this make sense?

22ml of nic in your final mix is the best bet for a true 50/50 mix. For all 3 mixes the wta and regular nic will both be 2.59ml with.01 pg and 2.41 vg if your flavorings are considered PG. Flavoring for batch 2 and 3 will be 1.2ml each. In mix 1 the first flavor will be .3ml and the other two will each be 1ml. I didn't take into account any distilled water, apple cider vinegar, or lemon juice that might be added to the mix. I suspect your safe to put a drop or two of any of them without it all going wrong percentage wise.

Assuming you've got Wholecig WTA, the unflavored WTA is already a nicotine base. The 25mg/ml of WTA is already about 95% nicotine and 5% other alkoloids. (You probably already know this, I just want to be sure it's clear to everyone)

I would suggest doing a trial run of your flavors in less expensive conventional nicotine base first. Then once you are satisfied with the flavor percentages move to mixing with your unflavored WTA.

I mix wta liquids with conventional mostly to keep cost down as I find a little WTA goes a long way.

I'm glad you caught that before I doubled the nicotine content - thanks! I do have the wholecig unflavored WTA. I went to their website and see that it states exactly what you said here. I missed that when ordering it.

I will pre-mix in small quantities with just the vg/pg first, definitely.

I'm sure I'm not typical because I never smoked heavily at all. That's why I think I get along with very little WTA a day.

I still consider finding a routine I like very much a work in progress, but I was pretty happy this past week. I mixed the WTA down to 18mg/ml and used about .4 ml a day. I also used at most one ml a day of regular nic juice, mostly 18mg with some 12mg and 6mg to switch off flavors.

It wouldn't surprise me if (ex-) PAD and PAD+ smokers aren't out there laughing at me saying why bother at those levels, but it's enough to make a difference to me. I felt more clear-headed this past week than I have in a very long time.

I was thinking about this after I crashed into bed last night. First, the calculator does take into account the nic in the WTA. You can't have WTA without nic. The combined WTA nic and regular nic are 42.5ml nic base. To get a 24ml mix with the WTA you would have to use 9.6ml of the WTA or 4ml of the 60ml.

I smoked 2 packs a day myself and was at 24ml nic when I started. I had to start using some 18ml in there right away and still use both levels through out the day. In general I end up getting about .5 to .75ml of WTA a day. I blend about 6 drops into about 1ml a minty menthol mix that I keep all the time and swap over to about 4 times a day. If I feel I need it (craving or starting to feel out of the loop) I put about 4 drops in my RBA and that generally gets me over the hump.

Ok so lets go back to never done this before. Are you creating the mix or did you find a recipe that calls for such high amounts of flavoring? I do high VG mixes and don't often have to go anywhere near that high to get good flavor. What is your goal flavor and what flavorings (and company if you know) are you using. One reason to keep the volume of flavorings lower is it is just easier on your equipment and the other is it is easier on your your wallet long run.

Okay, I didn't think about the fact that WTA is still nicotine and therefore would have 95% regular nic and %5 of the WTA - d'oh!

I am fairly new to vaping, started in March. I started with 12mg then quickly realized that wasn't strong enough. Moved up to 24mg, but still had analog cravings, so I tried 36mg and had headaches, nausea, and dizziness, so I went back down to 24mg. Now, I'm at 24mg or 18mg using the WTA throughout the day. I don't mix it in any other juices yet. I find that dripping the WTA helps a lot. I hope I can get to 4X a day like you are doing with it.

I am not following a specific recipe, though having one would certainly help. I have purchased from High Desert Vapes:

Ella's Blueberry and Pomegranate with Stevia (10ml)

I have in my HDV cart now:

Ella's Raspberry (10ml)

TPA's Peach (Juicy)(10ml)

TPA's Koolada (3ml)

Sweetener (generic sucarlose) (10ml)

FW Black Tea (3ml)

FW Blood Orange (10ml)

Ella's Cranberry (10ml)

I would like to use just the blueberry/pom in stevia for one bottle, maybe with a few drops of Koolada. Then, use the peach/raspberry/sweetener/koolada together. Then use the black tea/blood orange/cranberry together. I read on other DIY threads that Capella's flavorings are forgiving, flexible, but more expensive and require higher concentrations (10%-20%) than other brands. So, that is where I am getting higher concentrations from, but I know some of these are not Capella's.

I have both VG and PG in my HDV cart, 120 mls of each. Really, I could do any vg/pg combination. And I have 3ml, 5ml, and 10 ml bottles to try stuff out before I add the nicotine.

I downloaded that ejuicemeup calculator, so that should help down the road when I get a better understanding of this.
