So I get that these laws in MN need to be modified as there are idiots who find it OK to vape in schools, but it is totally ominous the wording:

A bill for an act

1.2relating to public health; expanding the definition of smoking under the Clean
1.3Indoor Air Act;amending Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 144.413, subdivision
1.44.
1.5BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:

1.6 Section 1. Minnesota Statutes 2012, section 144.413, subdivision 4, is amended to read:
1.7 Subd. 4. Smoking. "Smoking" means inhaling or exhaling smoke a substance
1.8containing tobacco or nicotine from any lighted or heated cigar, cigarette, pipe, or
1.9any other lighted or heated tobacco or plant product, including an electronic cigarette.
1.10Smoking also includes carrying a means possession of any lighted or heated cigar,
1.11cigarette, pipe, or any other lighted or heated tobacco or plant product intended for
1.12inhalation, including an electronic cigarette.

So 'Smoking' also means POSSESSION of a device? So I can't even have it on me in a public place? Maybe I'm reading too much into it.....

- As it's worded you would need to have the device firing for it to be considered "smoking". Which goes to further illustrate just how oblivious lawmakers are to how vapers use the products. It's infuriating.
