Mod Boxes - dumb question

I've been looking at all the mod boxes and some of them are great. How are the batteries in these boxes recharged? Does the box have to be opened, the batteries taken out and placed in a recharging unit? Or can the boxes be recharged through the atomiser connector (using the original ecig's USB recharger unit)?

Yes typically you will have a spare set of batts and an external charger.
