I'm in the final stages of R&D of a 26650 bottomfeed in the Zero style. Sourcing some circuits in the raw is not easy, so my plan is to dissect a mod for the chip. Looking at FT, I've come to these two options for form and function:

A) $40.87 MODZ Pack D-NA 50 Mod - 7W-50W / 1*18650 / red at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

B) $39.80 Smowell DPV-50 Variable Wattage VW APV Box Mod - 6.0-50W / 1*18650 / silver at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Option B is more affordable, and is rumored to be the same circuit as the smok M50, and option A is the ChiDNA. The Smok/Smowell circuit is one long board with fixed tactiles, and the ChiDNA obviously has modular switches. The long stick circuit does not bother me, as the orientation fits the design I'm going for, but I can accomodate the modular switches to a similar orientation.

Questions are:

Pros v Cons of either/both chips as user and/or modder experienced?

Any sources available for either chip that are even more affordable or comparable, stateside (US)?

I'm an experienced modder, so no need to tip-toe with concerns ;)

TIA for your opinions!

is it possible to source the Yihi SX300 (not350)? I thought I saw that it's proprietary. I know the SX350 can be purchased @ varitube, but trying to keep circuit cost under $50, and I'm not out for wattage above 50W.

Another note would be sub-ohm capable. The Vamo V10 looks to be spec'd @1ohm+. Some varied reports of 0.3ohm, but conflicting opinions on that issue.

The fasttech init is limited to .8Ω but if you can source someone who sells the mmt boards you can buy the 55w board that does .3Ω. I have not seen it for sale but its out there.

Check out the MMt boards scroll down to middle of the page..

China Vamo V6 PCB Upgrade 55W Mmt 355A Customization - China Vamo Pcb, Printed Circuit Board

I also wouldn't mind a MMt 55w board but the MMt M352a is the one I would've jumped on.. Not the MMt M345a that fasttech sells..
Hopefully fasttech will get the M352a in...

That 40w board at fasttech is solid many good reviews.

But its a new day for us OKR builders
If you don't mind building from the ground up get an OKRt10 build going, its a barebones 60w module but it will do over 100w and Mamu just posted a display for it..
Cost about the same; the okr is 8 bucks the display is 8 bucks then components about 3 bucks for me its almost a no brainer now with that display..
