I just thought of something! You have to leave a small opening for air passage right? The ash cap has little bitty slots if you look at the edge closely..in my case with a magifier.

Hey Mary Kay I think you pull air from the center where the atty and battery connect. I think the battery is sealed.

Some are sealed some are not. The reason I used the ss40 is the next size down would be small enough to fit in the battery tube (I don't know why there isn't an in between size), plus the gap left between the rim set and the battery edge serves as a vent to batteries that need the air passage, it also allows you to see the glow, if it was flush you would have to put something in front of it or look in the mirror to see it ( I use the glow as an indicator to know when my batt is starting to need a recharge and check if I'm getting a good draw)

That is true, my 901 (Auto, unsealed) needs some air flow to trip the swich in the battery to.."on". Once I get the manual (Sealed)..I am not sure if it needs the air. I should ask.
That's the story of my life..no inbetween sizes! For shoes, clothes, cars..everything!

I have 2 sealed manuals and neither need air as they are purely button activated (all of my autos are unsealed) BTW the Eastmall auto batt tubes don't fit the rims near as well as the ruyan ones do, i don't know why cause they seem to be the same size, but that;s how it is.

Michele, I make it a point to learn something new each day. It doesn't matter how big or small..I collect trivia. I know lots and lots of useless things! But at least I can talk to anyone and not look stupid...for a sentence or two!:w00t:
My grands find it crazy making..
Today I learned that Michele started at the top of the e-cig line instead of the bottom like the rest of us!
