Hi all! I've been using an istick pico for almost a year now but I'm looking for something a little more powerful. I have an Ultimo tank (at 35w) and a Tsunami rda (at 45w). There are SO many mod options these days I cannot get sure for one. The one I like (and desire) it's the Vgod 150 but my budget it's pretty tie, so my options are Thinkvape MKL200 or a Wismec Reuleaux 200. Which one is better? Do you have any other suggestion? Thanks in advanced for all the help.

Next step up would depend on what you want it to be able to do. Something like a Smoant Battlestar or Charon TC can be a "step up". There are any number of good choices, and visiting the regulated and temp control subforums here is a great way to pick through them and see members experiences with them.

I have no experience with the MKL200, but I do have a couple of RX200's, the first one almost 1 1/2 years old now. That one was my main mod for quite a while at home, beat the heck out of it in my workshop but never dropped it too far :). It still runs like new.

Having said that, it's old technology now and I wouldn't buy one today. It doesn't do TC with SS well enough to be usable and it doesn't get as much run time from three batts as it should. People have also had other issues with them.

As Eskie said, there are a lot of great mods out there these days. I'm sure you'll get a bunch of better alternatives to have a look at.

Best of luck with it :thumb:

I saw a 'Gen 3' version of the RX on MVS. They have a starter kit for for $66. What do you think?

Looks good, but I have no idea what it's like listopencil. I did skim through DJLsb Vape's review and though there have been some good improvements, it still has issues. The atty seems good if you like that style. In the end, like with most of this stuff, it's up to you to decide :)

I thought it was a nice review, but the battery issue is concerning. It seems like when Wismec improves one issue there'a another that pops up. Still lots of nice choices out there in a similar price range.

That's the problem with new stuff all the way across the board. Even from good companies you need a new piece to be on the market for a year before you can really decide if it's any good or not.. unless of course you have the money to say, oh well this was a mistake.. lol..

You can buy yesterday's model cheaper and you know what lots of people think and/or have issues with. I always go with yesterday's model for this reason.

Opinionated, you can be so wise :) If I were to buy a crazy expensive mod, yeah, I would want it to be around awhile to figure out any unknown issues. The good news is a) you have tons of choices (I'm not even going to go there, just second Eskie's suggestion, as I have not owned enough mods (yet) to be definitive about any of them, especially, other than what *I* like (the Steampunk Nano Tesla 120) which may not suit your needs in the slightest.

But, I think when moving up a "level" the latest and greatest may not be the best first option, I mean if I look at what complaints are coming up for some models (like Kangertech and Smok) you may end up with a more expensive mod with many bells and whistles but that doesn't actually work that well. So sometimes waiting 6 months or so before buying what makes you drool (I am sometimes guilty of not taking my own advice, esp. when it comes to tanks, LOL, meaning I have a few tanks in the Vapocalypse closet I KNOW I will never vape again) if you can manage it, can be helpful.

That said, if you have your eye on something and must have it, pick an option where you have a certain amount of warranty on the product, enough that you feel "safe" in buying it, etc.

Best of luck!

Anna
