Mod crossroad...need advise

So here is the situation. I have a SS sigelei Zmax that is acting up. It scrolls through the menu fine but hit or miss with firing attys. Seems I have to press the button at different spots to get it to work when acting up.

Also have a couple of Anyvape CVIs. One dead and one doing the same button thing. I have built mods back in the day but time is limited.

The questions: Is there a cheap replacement chip to get and replace? Or are the switches just able to swap?

The CVIs were so cheap I have no problem just getting rid of but the Zmax is a SS tube and would like to save her if possible.
