I just bought my first Mod recently. I have an Eleaf Istick 60 Watt with a Herakles tank. I'm having issues with this tank leaking. Anybody out there have long term experience with this particular device and tanks in general that could help me stop this tank from leaking or suggest a better 100% leak - proof tank that is compatible with this device? I welcome any eliquid suggestions as well. I usually go with stuff from Halo and have been generally satisfied with their liquids. I also use liquids from Vista Vapors strictly for their low prices but haven't found an all day vape yet. Thanks a bunch and vape on my fellow vapers!

The coil head, the part with the wick and wire that can be replaced, is submergedd in the tank and surround by liquid. The liquid goes through the holes in the coil head and saturates the wick. If the liquid is too thin or the wick is not packed in well enough there might not be enough static resistance in the wick to prevent the liquid from seeping all the way through and past the wick and drip down the air intake and out through the bottom air supply hole. Another possibility is if the air supply is closed way down and you are creating too much suction when you draw on it that can create enough pressure to over come resistance in the wick and pull liquid into the air passage faster than the coil can boil it into vapor.

The coil heads are assembled by hand. May be the partucular coil head you are using isn't wicked properly so try changing it. It can be put back if that's not the problem. PG is thinner than VG. A typical blend is 50/50 and should not drain through proper wicking. If the liquid is high PG may be that is the problem. Then make sure the bottom air supply is open enough to match the amount of air you are trying to draw so you don't create a vacuum behind the liquid and pull it through the wicking faster than it is boiling away.

Ok thanks
I've been using the 50/50 and I just read a post about the plastic O-ring from the tank which I threw out and I'm thinking that's probably causing the leaking. This is my first Mod and there were no instructions with the tank which I found very disappointing especially since they're higher priced and more high end.

If you are missing an o-ring that would do it. Some spare orings might have come with the tank. If its a generic one they are available dirt cheap on fasttech in many sizes. Eventually you need a back up mod and back up atomizer for times like this.

Thanks. It wasn't missing I was just having issues trying to open and fill the tank and wasn't aware the O-ring had to stay on so I threw it out. A simple set of instructions from the company could have prevented this. And yes, will definitely get a back up for times like these.
