Any chance you could post a short how-to jaded?
Have a great day!

Finally finished my madvapes FL mod for the 18650, wasn't as hard as i was trying to make it. Works pretty good.

I agree. Great workmanship there, and it looks like you found a way to do it much, much simpler. Did you convert the original switch to momentary? I didn't see a new switch. Thanks in advance.

I really wish I would have took pics as I went so I could show a step by step, but alas I did not. I did use the method it think was posted earlier to make the switch momentary.
I used all parts from the flashlight except the black rubber part which came off a phillips head phone holder I cut up. This made it alot easier to work with not having to find a way to recess the connector. I ended up glueing a bolt nut on top to help with stability.
Thank you all for the compliments, if you have any question I will do my best to try and help. I will tell you it had me ready to break things many many times lol

Edit: how crazy is it that I broke it right as I posted this, trying to take a pic of the finished product. I might end up being able to take pics.

Although an 18650 is nice, it it much easier to use MV's 18500 and his 2A switch mounted right above the PCB, a location I find more natural. You'll have some room to work and could add an LED if it suits you. Note a 1600mAh 18500 should last about as long as 7-8 regular ecig batts. For most folks this means all day between charges. Even though I use an 18650 I routinely charge over night, every night anyway. You will then also then have a main kill switch.

Food for thought.
