Just a suggestion, but we have sections for different battery types, VV mods by type, also different juice reviews, DIY, etc. But cartos and attys are just all over the place...:)

It may help to have a Bottom Coil, Top Coil, CE2, Filler type, New Mega (stardust, CE4/5+) not sure how to break it down but JMHO the selection and use of the atty cartos effect your vaping as much as the battery power or flavor of juice.

"Get a dual coil and vape" seems to be the new "get an eGo" limiting the discussion, review and tips and tricks for the bombardment of new heat and feed systems available.

It is definitely something that deserves some thought, we've been working on re organizing the forum to make it a little easier to navigate.

We have also tried to make decisions that will make long term maintenance of the categories easier as well as making things "make more sense".

Attys and cartos are on the list, no promises on the timeline though.

Sometime within the next couple of days I'll get to reorganizing these categories. There are some other areas that are related that I'll combine so they make more sense . And of course there will be a mass thread moving exercise to add to the general confusion :)

If possible, it might be good to attempt to stick with generic model designations, such as suggested above by reference to "G4," along with the various CE models, etc. As well, reference to thread type is always appreciated. The plethora of trade names chosen to similar and dissimilar gear does not lend well to comprehension of the variances between products.

If clarity of designation can be incorporated in the organization of subcatagories, it can ease the efforts of readers and help avoid confusion.

I know what you guys are getting at, but I think Royal's scheme is a fair start.

Doesn't make sense to create divisions among clearos I don't think, at least not at first. I was a newb just a short while ago (heck I still am in my book) and to me a clearo was a clearo, hence I started that thread over there in the 808 thread...

In fact to me, a die hard clearo fan, a clearo is still a clearo, the only meaningful distinction being top vs. bottom coil, and I don't think that really needs a separate sub forum, just saying.

There's more distinction between vertical coils and horizontal coils among cartomizers than there is between top and bottom coils among clearos IMO, relevant distinctions that dictate operating limits wrt to voltages and what not.

With the juggling, maybe reimpose thread size, split at 50 posts :)

(Time to duck - QUACK!)

With thread shuffling, sometimes need to be careful on things in New Members. I've run across threads being actively used by newer people getting moved to places where they still couldn't post to (op may have passed 5, but other new people are active on the thread). Perhaps leave things there, if they are still actively being posted to, say within the last xx hours or day?

I think Roly's basic breakout is good.

Further designations under those 4 catagories may become useful as the threads add up posts. This has generally been recognized by those posting here.

I think we'll see a lot of clearo differences as has been suggested. Fillter/not-filler, Top/Bottom, Long wick/Short Wick, swapable heads/elements and surely much more to come. Seems each 'may' have a particular generic designator set by the original manufactuer. CE4, CE4+, and then clones by other manufactuers. There are already all sorts under each of the other 3 catagories mentioned. Often times suppliers show pictures of i.e., 510 and 808 cartos, but the 808 picture will be the 510 model. I'm not saying the new set up should police the suppliers offerings, but be set up so that it can be a reference to the various types. The four types suggested by Roly and the probable variants following could grow to be quite a list. We're seeing quite a bit of new development since the Chinese New Year.

As Roly stated the forums are in place and "most" of the threads have been moved to their proper new home. If you run across one that is misfiled, please report it so it can be moved to it's rightful location.

I'd like to let the dust settle with the current changes before we make any additional tweaks. Running with the current setup for awhile should bring up any changes that need to be done.

For those of you who used descriptive thread titles so threads can be easily moved...
