I found my Rocket with a 0.9 ohm coil was not wicking fast enough and I was getting burnt hits after a while. I opened up the juice channels a bit with a Dremel and that solved that issue.

Now that I know that works I would like to get a bit more air flow. I first drilled out the drip tip and top plate it screws into to 5/32" (0.157") from about 1/8". That didn't make a noticeable difference. I then drilled the center pin/screw under the coil to 0.071" from about 1/16" (0.062"). I didn't want to go bigger because I was afraid I was getting too close to the threads. That seemed to help a bit.

I'm thinking there may not be more I can get out of this puppy because of the center pin/screw issue. OTOH I could drill out the air hole in the bottom body which has the set screw in it (not the fill hole ;)).

Has anyone had success in getting more air through this puppy? If I'm not mistaken this is a clone of the kayfun 3.1 so if anyone has worked with that it's relevant.

Do any of the other Kanfun versions have more open draw? Would I be better off with the Aqua?

lol - enough that I got rid of the Original Tips on all 5 of my KayFuns and the 2 Rockets. Don't think it will ever Be a Cloud chasing machine, but the vape is much smoother with the top open.
I'm using Slash/Muffler tips on 3 and wide Brass tips on 2 that ride on Brass Nemesis.

Did you try to align the air opening in the Center pin with the Bored air passage? Did that with my $14 KFL and saw noticeable improvement.

OK, thanks crxess! I guess the idea is that any pressure drop improvement will help. Just didn't know if it would help enough to be noticeable.

Which means I should drill out the threaded air supply hole in the lower body too. It's pretty small and looking at it now I think I can take it up to about 1/8".

I'll have to have a look at the air opening alignment in the center pin too. I have an idea about improving that, but I need to see if it can be done first.
