Has anyone attempted to modify the cone on the Triton? I was thinking it could be cut or widened.

Another thing is that the tank will fit in the cone but air can't get to the tank. Maybe I can drill a small hole to let air in.

I remember a small discussion about sanding it down... air hole sounds like a good idea.

I used a sand paper for metal. Actually it's a sanding strip used for reel type lawn mowers that I happened to have on hand. I just sanded the narrow end down until it slipped over the mini. It only took about 15 min and some elbow grease. Probably took off 1/8 " or so...didn't hurt the cone at all. So I suspect that any sanding disk or paper meant for metal would work.

Draws fine as long as it's not a super tight fit...if it slides on easily I can't tell the difference with it on or off.

Also, I just sanded down the end, since it gets wider as you go down...so I just took a little off...put the sanding strip flat on a table and rubbed the narrow end of the cone back and forth for several minutes. I just did some measuring and I took off less that 1/16th of an inch...it doesn't take much at all.
