Hey yall
It's me
I made a magnum and it worked great, but, as in the previous thread I burned it up8-o!!!!
I just rebuilt a new one but could not get it to work!!! I rebuilt it 3 times using the rs momentary switch. sometimes I would get volts but most of the time I would not. After geting P*&%^$$#@ off I did away with the switch and decided to use just the on and off switch.
Has anyone had problems with the rs switch??
12VDC 50mA SPST 6.2x6.2 mm SMT Tact Switch, 9.5mm High - RadioShack.com
This is the one with the long push button
What do yall use ?????

Thanks for the help

The micro/tactile switches from RS are unreliable. I have gone through several in a magnum mod. I just gave up. As Sun stated, you need to move up the food chain to a beefier (much bigger) switch rated at a higher amperage capacity. If you do this, you will have to come up with a way to mount it on a flashlight. My solution is not pretty, but effective.

Yes they still work after 10 years, actually pretty good!
I just cut the board around the switches so I can solder to the bottom leads and then hot glue in place :)
I got 12 switches off of this board.
