Month and a half later, still frustrated by inconsistancy

Hey, man. Try this: grab yourself a 510 low resistance atomizer, and a 510 MEGA battery (they should be no more than $20)...that's some serious power in your hands right there & should be consistent all the time.

when filling a cart always put 2 drops right onto the atty... you'll be in serious vaping business!

Depends which cartos you are using. There is a difference in taste. The KR8 variety taste like one thing, and the 510 cartomizers taste like a 510 atty. That's my sense of it from having used both.

Many people swear by KR8 cartos... I just don't like them.

Yeah, I'm thinking I need to grab an adapter and try some of the 510 cartos. I am very happy with the KR8s though.

Thanks for the replies everyone;

Will keep in mind that newly cleaned attys need 4 or 5 drops. I have been notorious for flooding so I have been trying to avoid that.

Can you give me examples of a low resistance atomizer? I am not really sure what that is although I have seen the 510 Mega batteries.

RE: Cartomizers I do have some 510s that I got from LiteCig, they are ok but really do not compare to dripping (when it is working for me). I like the option in case I am on the go and cant be dripping all the time but its more of a last resort since I really dont like the taste that much.

In the meantime I am going to keep switching flavors, I seem to get burned out really quick even on flavors that I love. Meh.

:)

Hey man - due to my supplier status I can't actually promote products on these chains...but it's easy to find a low resistance/high voltage 510 atty if you're looking for one...bare minimum - Google is always your friend.

Power is a function of atomizer resistance and battery voltage.

The higher the voltage, the more power being delievered.
And the lower the resistance of the atomizer, the more power being delivered.

The more power delivered, the hotter the atomizer coil will get.
And the hotter the atomizer coil gets, the more vapor you are going to get.

Some people go for higher voltage, but with the advent of low resistance (LR) atomizers, that becomes a viable alternative.

However, the hotter atomizer coil also affects the flavor of your juice to some extent.
Some juices might get better tasting, some might start tasting a little burnt.

Since this has turned into a cartomizer thread, I'll put my "2 cents worth" out there with my limited experience with cartomizers. I've tried 3 types so far. The 510 and 801 cartomizers that look almost the same that you can fill by putting the e-liquid in the rubber cap the carto's come in. Both of these IMO, are more difficult to keep moist and both have a burnt taste to them fairly quickly after vaping them for a while. I only use 5 volt PV's but I don't hold the button down for more than a few seconds. I suspect that both of these have an ohm rating that makes them burn hotter.

The third cartomizer I am using is MUCH preferred over the other two. It is an 801 cartomizer from MadVapes that has a 2.5 ohm resistence and to me is easier to fill and refill. If you have ever used a BE112 atomizer from BestEcigs, it duplicates the feel of this atomizer quite well. And on a 5 volt PV, I am of the opinion this is the best vaping atomizer around. I would suggest giving this cartomizer a try if you haven't tried it before. Here is the link: Black 801 Cartomizer
