Montréal meeting

So shall we try to make our next meet at the end of September? I'm sure I'd be able to make it this time around.

One thing though... I'd prefer if we can find a place that is truly 'Vaper-friendly'; I don't like the idea of being scuddled away in a room apart from the rest of the world. It's a little reminiscent of being forced to go outside when I smoked analogs. Let me know if I'm the only one that feels that way, or if you find my expectations unreasonable, but I'm sure that we can find a place that caters to those who successfully rid their systems of tobacco smoke.

I'll do some research on my end to see if any resto-bars would be willing to host the meet, if some of you could do the same, that would be appreciated.

Thanks!

It may have seem like that from the posts, but the doors were left open and the owner and some of his friends used the same room to eat while we vaped and talked and drank and ate.:2cool:

I'm up for anything, we could probably even change the location at the last minute if we find out it's going to be nice outside and go sit on a terrace instead (?)

I also have another place "Restaurant La Poule " located at Bernard and Waverly
Its a BYOB (bring your own beer/wine) place seats about 70 people inside and has a TERRACE.
Parking is lousy and metros Rosemont or Outremont are about 10/12 blocks away

This place is very vape friendly...

Create a "we should meet in Montreal" thread
Don't look at it for way too long
Realise you missed it because you are somewhat of an idiot
Failure.

I tried to PM you for the first meet, but your profile is not set up for it.
You could also under (Thread Tools) subscribe to this thread with notices.
Hope that helps.

My range of emotions as I read your post:
:) :) :( :)

Are you sure this place would be OK with 10 or so people openly vaping inside (in case of rain)? If so, then I'm all for it, and the parking situation can't be any worse than where I work in old Montreal, I always find a way :)

Yes it would be okay.

Need to get people to choose one of the 2 places.

Place one the Legion can only be a WEDNESDAY night

Place two can probably be Sunday,Monday,Tuesday or Wednesday all evenings, but Sunday could
probably be afternoon on.

Post your choice, decision tomorrow. Need to make arrangements.

Congrats to you and Mrs dopeh :)

By the time we meet I should have received: Darwin, Maxi Roughstack, Altsmoke Alpha, Reo Mini, eGo Booster, a whole bunch of different cartomizers from MadVapes, and most likely another massive order of juice - I have a feeling that the "soon-to-be Mrs. DevilFish" will not be too happy with all these new gadgets and may make me unload a few

For a while that's all I was going on as well, and I was convinced that I would stick with my my Grand and a couple of eGo batts.

The worst part is I ordered all those mods in the last week  It all started with the Darwin, I was curious about VV. When I heard it was going to be delayed I decided to pick up a Roughstack from MadVapes, and then I realized I had a surplus of 14500 batts so I thought I should have a 14500 mod, I picked up an Alpha, and then the Reo sale happened (even though I'd sold my previous one about a month ago :) ).

The worst part is I have a feeling that the majority of these mods are going to wind up in the BST. At least I'll get the chance to take them for a spin, and create a little more action in the Canadian BST section :D

Hey guys - yes there is some "weird" American guy that will be in Montreal the end of September. ME! My arrangements are now confirmed to arrive on the evening of the 19th and fly back to the states on the 1st. I know I'll have several business dinners during the period but not every night. I'll be staying downtown at the Residence Inn which I understand is next to the Metro but honestly have never had the pleasure of using one in my adult life.

Would be awesome to meet a bunch of the Canadian brethren but likely will not being much stuff with me. I read a story about a local that crossed the border by car this week and had all his vaping gear and liquids confiscated. So I'll probably just bring my crappy ego batteries and cartos with me this time and leave my prized 5v Tekk mod at home.

afrazier5 there you are! I couldn't find the original thread you'd started.

Honestly the metro system in Montreal has to be one of the most simplistic public transportation system in the world with its whopping 4 lines (2nd to Toronto's 2 lines lol).

Do you have an idea of the dates when your business dinners will be taking place?

No idea on the dinners just yet as we don't schedule those usually until about a week ahead. Weekends at this point won't be a problem but I am guessing I'll be a guest at a private residence one of the 2 nights. If I schedule time on my work calendar for this stuff now the time will be reserved (yea I have to schedule PERSONAL time on my work calendar....sux!).
