a couple of weeks ago, i asked for and got suggestions on what type of atty to buy for dripping. i chose a 510 bridgeless atty that seemed to wrk just fine but now the battery is getting hot when i use it. i dont want to ruin my battery. so maybe i need more info.

the atty is a LF 510 bridgeless drip-o-mizer. it said it was rated for 3.7-4.2v which is what the battery says it is (CE4 1100 mah) battery. ive read about and tried to understand volts, watts, etc before and i have a difficult time wrapping my head around it.

could someone point me in the right direction on what to buy. im hoping to not spent $15-20 on the atty. i would prefer less than $10. doesnt matter if its bridgeless or not. but if i have to figure out if im getting the right atty based on the volts/watts, i will prob get lost so be as specific on type/brand as you can.

thank you very much for the help.

The heat is coming from one of two places, either you are chain vaping and not letting anything cool down or there is a short in the system somewhere. Atomizers don't last forever and a short in the coil can cause the heat as well. If your battery is staying cool with other devices on it your atty is probably due for replacement.

As far as deals keep a eye on http://.........blogspot.com/ , last month he posted a deal on Joytech 510 attys, 5 for 10 bucks, I stocked up...lol.

ive been using the atty for about a week. i only use it randomly because i really only got them for testing flavors although ive found at night when i want to switch flavors i use it for dripping over an hr or so (not contiguously). the last couple of times i used it last night (used it 3x 2 drops a time) and it was getting hot almost right away. i dont have any other types of attys to test in it although i do have 2 other of the same type i can try.

a week ago or so i posted in the atty/cart forum and didnt get any responses and the post got buried quickly. what i asked was how do i know when the atty is done with and should i be blowing it out/emptying it when im done with it for the day. i know when a clearomizer is ready to be thrown away but not with these since its the first time ive tried dripping.

thanks for the vapor joes link. got it bookmarked now. i changed the atty to a new one of the same type/brand. it works good. isnt getting hot. could it be that is was just time to replace it or do you think something was wrong with it? i dont know how long they were supposed to last but that one only lasted a week and it had barely been used. if i had been using it regularly it would have only lasted a couple of days.
