More natural e-juice?

I would really like to move away from artificial flavors in the near future, or at least find out more info on what chemicals are used in artificial flavors. I know what is PG, VG, and Nicotine, but not "artificial flavors" ...Any suggestions?

Well, artificial flavors can be a misnomer in peoples' minds. Let's say you want natural cinnamon flavor - you extract the flavor from the bark. After very fine straining to remove the larger organic molecules you have say, 20 chemicals left, which you then dilute in PG and sell as natural cinnamon flavor.

Artificial cinnamon is a few of the same chemicals made synthetically and the flavor will just be a little less complex, but no more dangerous or unknown to the user.

Now, if you want natural (organic) flavors, there are places such as Nature's Flavors that sell them but you'd generally have to make your own liquid or find liquid makers that use organic flavors. I believe Velvet Vapor's VG only line uses organic flavors, but I'm not entirely sure.

Nature's Flavors uses a lot of Water/Alcohol in their base, so it's very thin and needs some VG to keep the viscosity from getting to low. If you prefer using PG to VG, Faerie's Finest also has many organic/natural flavors.

BEar in mind as well that if its all natural, as in, extracted from say leaf like TV tobacco is (its bascially macerated and steeped), then it may contain 'bits' which can clog up your atty. This is more a worry for the darker liquids than the pale ones (you can see the bits if there are any in the clear ones)
I believe NHaler does some more natural type juices, herbal, called 'Lung juice' which you can look at on their website; Ive seen good reviews of those but havent tried them myself.

hrmm, thanks for the warning. Got some new atty's coming in, so I will devote one just to the juice I ordered and keep an eye on it

I do have a feeling that natural will clog an atty faster then artificial, but like shopping for organic food there is a price to pay too.

I also have been researching DIY e juice just for the reason of natural will expire long before artificial will.

Most commercial companies that sell natural extracts run them through an extremely fine strainer that removes those 'bits' so you should be fine. However, do check the ingredients for thickeners such as Gum Acacia or Xanthan Gum, those will not vaporize. For example, the Coffee & Tea Flavorings at Nature's Flavors are fine, but some of the other categories have those additives.

nikhil, still looking for the elusive watermelon. in the meanwhile, i found out i also don't do well with an alcohol based flavor, which leaves out the extracts.
using cartos, and so not overly worried about atty longevity, what do you think would happen with the flavor using a gum acacia based concentrate?
