Hi. Just got mini pt3 from kanger. My first issue with the tank has more or less been resolved from my last post, which involved vapor production. And I'm convinced it was just a faulty atomizer head.

Now after about a week of flawless use, it has started to leak juice. Now I searched all around for this issue before posting and most people have leaking issues with the chimney or gurgling but that's not my problem. My tank is seeping fluid out from between the base (with the air holes) and the second part of the base that connects to it (which holds the atomizer head). I've taken it apart and cleaned it many times and reassembled according to kangers included diagram so I know I'm not screwing a piece in wrong or forgetting a gasket. Please help!

One thing I did notice is that for the last few times that I've opened it to refill, I've noticed that the base does not screw back together as easily as it first did last week. It feels almost like its gunked up and I'm screwing it against some dirt but I clean the threads before I do it so this isn't the case. And after tightening it appears to be a tight seal until the liquid seeps out ever so slightly from the seam. Did I damage the threading somehow??

It sounds more like it may be missing one of it's original o-rings and the only way to know for sure would be to compare it to a brand new one if you don't know for sure if it is or not, damaged threads may cause this issue but then again IMO I would use it as an excuse to get an upgraded tank...but that is just me lol

No, indoors all day for work and its sitting in my pen slot vertically in my front pocket and when i take it out there are droplets of juice around that seam where the tank base connects with the air hole/atomizer base assembly.

Also, I'm pretty confident that I'm not missing any o-rings or pieces as I've dissassembled and reassembled the unit side by side the the diagram included by kanger. There are only two gasket/o-rings and those are on the top and bottom of the pyrex tank, but there's no leak there. I even tried looking for a spot to put a gasket between these bottom two pieces but it doesn't appear possible.

Ruh roh, my first thought when I read that was that you were cross-threading, which is not a good thing and you'll eventually damage the threads in a big way. Here's a visual aid:

I don't have one in front of me, but the scrunching makes me wonder if you aren't actually grinding the o-ring down hard, or into the threading or something. Try not to tighten it too tight, just finger-tight so you aren't over-compressing things, and as mentioned by Maiar you should have extra o-rings to test.

Well, it turns out that I'm an idiot and I was missing an o-ring. But in my defense, the included Kanger diagram doesn't point this particular o-ring out! I had to call Mount Baker Vapor support (shout out to them btw for being such a great online retailer/company) who were very patient with me and told me that I was indeed missing this piece. I've replaced the ring and have had no issues since.

The Mini PT3 has 4 O-rings. Top and bottom of tank, tank to base and coil head. Sounds like you are missing a base or coil ring. also sounds like you have some buggered up threads, either dirty or damaged. Other option is a leaky coil head, air gaps above the wick or just dirty. Also sometime Kanger coils just leak, the only fix is a different head.

I've had this problem with Kanger before too, with the same cause. Sometimes even the replacement coils in the blister pack are missing the bottom o-ring. So, just a heads up: when you swap your coil, double-check that all the o-rings are there on the new one before you toss the old one in the trash. (you can always pull the o-ring off an old coil and fit it to the new one, if it happened to "slip through" Kanger's QC...)
