Retail locations would be terrific, but sadly won't see many in the new future. Who would want to go to the expense of opening a store-front business, while the FDA and local governments are talking banning e-cigs.

In the meantime I would recommend having backups, and backups for your backups.....build up your stock every time there is a good sale, slowly, as much as is easily affordable. (you would have spent it on analogs anyway) :)

For a backup, I went with entirely different batteries, charger, and adapters to fit any atty / carto to any of my batteries, or PVs, or PT. This way if there is a catastrophic failure (dog used charger for a chew toy, charger goes bad and takes all my batteries with it, etc....) I have a true backup system. Any backup worth the name needs to have a backup for each vulnerable sub-section, power source (battery or PT), actual PV (mod or ego, etc), atty or carto, and plenty of juice. IMHO

I use a PV-1 for my main vape, ego system backup, 510-system back/backup, pass-thru, back/back/backup, with adapters to fit any combination of power to juice, chargers and backup chargers.

I will never smoke an analog for want of a good vape.

There are online vendors that I am hooked on, and I would order from them before I would ever walk in a store.

I understand that DIY's do much better by buying online, but there are so many people I've talked to that have genuine interest in making the switch. Most of these people don't want to go to the effort of learning all about e-cigs or don't want to spend $40+ dollars online to buy a kit.

I know that if there were more retail locations for smokers to visit and talk with a retail salesman. Vaping would become more prevalent and that would help us all.

I'm quitting my truck driving job in a couple of days, and thought about opening up a shop. I plan on drawing up a business plan. There just seems to be too many concerns though. I would have to charge more since rent is high in high traffic shopping areas (especially malls) The main concern I have is warranty returns. Parts, especially atomizers just do not have a long life. Returning items online can be a hassle, especially if it costs $3 to return a $7 atty, most would just not fool with it unless it was more than 1. With a retail shop, I could just see a nightmare of people constantly returning attys with no real clue as to how long they actually used them.
