Hello, So my story, went from 60 a day Taylor mades to zero the moment I picked up my first cheap and nasty disposable ecig. That was 3 weeks ago so still very much early days. Now I've got an ego twist and am loving it.
Anyway a little backdrop I ask you to picture before I ask my question, I presume your all x smokers!

Its early morning, you've just had breakfast, a coffee is sat In front of you as is you lighter and packet of cigs. You spark up, and take your first drag, your first tug, toot, toak, or draw or whatever else you wanna call it. As you take that first draw, you feel abit of resistance. Not too loose, and not too tight. Just abit of resistance that makes it a draw on a cigarette. What atomizer thingymajiggy, cartomiser whats his name, clearomiser doobree flip flop, best replicates that.

Im looking for something made in eu or us or at least something that doesn't require me to carry ten spares in case it fails, and something that isn't going to leak or dump loads of juice in my cake hole.
Many thanks.

I don't have much experience with all the different delivery options, but I use clearomizers and I think the draw is decent compared to regular smokes. But as I said, I'm still a bit of a newbie myself so I couldn't tell you how one thing compares to another or what's "the best" for draw resistance. I can tell you that an Ego Twist will require any atomizer/cartomizer/tank/clearomizer/whathaveyou to be 510 threading, or you'll need an adapter, but from what I've heard, 510 threading is the most common.

*edit to add*

Clearomizers can leak, some worse than others, depending on manufacturing flaws. I've gotten used to carrying around a paper towel with my vaping supplies just in case, but for the most part, I don't have too much trouble with leakage. Cartomizers definitely leak less, so if that's something that's important to you, you may want to focus your search on cartomizers.

Hi Jayjay, Congratulations & Welcome to ECF! I expect you'll need to try lots of different devices to find your personal favorite but one good choice to start with would be the Boge cartomizers. I could be wrong here but I'd suggest the 3.0 Ohm Standard Resistance for you, based upon my limited knowledge of the Twist. You *might* get good use from the 2.0 Ohm LR, but seems to me that would somewhat defeat the purpose of using a variable voltage PV. Hopefully you'll hear soon from someone more knowledgeable about the Twist. Also one you might try is the Vision Vivi Nova. I've been enjoying these a lot myself, however they draw differently on the two different PVs I've tried them on so I generally use an adapter to overcome this. Hope this helps!

Many thanks for your replies, at this moment in time, for me anyway, it's that draw I'm looking to best try and replicate. Flavours, build quality, looks, vapour production and throat hit even are not top of my agenda. There seems to be little info on draw. Or drag resistance. And believe me that's what I'm talking about. What I've tried so far is just a little to tight or usually too loose. I'm struggling but am confident ill crack it.
Cheers

hehe I know what you mean, I'm almost four weeks into vaping and found that very loose draw some getting used to....what I used to do at the begining of my vaping journey was cover the little air holes at the base of the cartomizer with my finger and thumb to try and get a firmer draw, it works.....but you'll soon get used to the looser draw, it doesn't bother me now, I just take a long slow draw now to get a good hot vape....ahhh heaven.

If you've used disposables, you're familiar with the filler type carto like the Boges. I'm not sure if UK cigs had a different draw than most US brands or not, but if you're wanting something with a stiffer draw than filler type cartos, you might want to try a stardust/Ego vision/ce4 clearomizer or a vivi nova. Some folks think the stardust is just right, some thing it's way too tight for them. My personal favorite at the moment is the vivi nova 2.5 and I'd honestly recommend gotvapes.com for it, simply because there are a lot of knock offs. It comes with 2 different ohm heads, 1.8, 2.4, and 2.8 I believe, so would be great for the twist. I still have some smokes stuffed in a drawer, pulled one out just now and drew on it, unlit, then the vivi, and couldn't tell much of a difference, although the stardust will have a bit of a stiffer draw, and might be the closest to a cig. They had rebuildable stardusts now also that make cleaning and changing heads a breeze! This was interesting, I'd not given draw much thought til now since I'm way more interested in throat hit than draw. In all fairness I'll say I haven't tried the rebuildable stardust yet, so don't know if the draw is any different than the previous version, but I wouldn't think it would be.

I have tried everything except direct dripping on an atomizer. The firmest draw I get is from a Stardust using my Twist. Stardusts and Novas is all I'll be using from here on, unless something better comes along. Convenient and no mess and between the two the Stardusts definitely have a stiffer draw.
