I just purchased a 60ml bottle of 100mg nicotine in 100% VG. Now when I bought this bottle, I had intentions on only doing 100% VG juice to start out with. But I do want to try several variations to see what I like best (in terms of PG/VG percentages). I have a 250mL bottle of PG and a 250mL of VG if that helps anyone.
I had read that it is a good idea to dilute your nicotine down to 10mg stronger than your target juice strength. So I figured what I could do was turn the 60mL 100mg bottle into (3) 65mL bottles @ 30.77mg(I will mostly be making 18mg). The 3 bottles would be different mixtures of PG/VG to attempt to make the most versatile dilutions possible for the different levels of PG/VG juices I want to try making.
1st bottle: 69.23% PG and 30.77% VG - This would allow me about 77% PG juice combo and 50% PG on the low end
2nd Bottle: 100% VG - It would allow me to make the highest VG content possible (with about 20% water/PGA)
3rd Bottle: 50.77% PG and 49.23% VG - This is just more of the 50/50 juice, the highest PG it can go is 66.2% and the lowest is 34.7%
All of these were done with 10% for flavoring. I know that real juice numbers may vary based on flavor %.
So is this a good idea to try and make the most of my mistake? Or a waste of time?(AKA I should just use this for high VG juices and get another bottle of nicotine with a different mix for my other stuff instead).
And just so people know, I have dealt with chemicals before (although not as poisonous as nicotine, mostly acidic), so I know how to properly handle them. This is just my first time dealing with dilutions/calculations (I was just given the chemicals to use, never the one who had to dilute them for our use) and DIY juice.
