I had one bite of Lutefisk, nuff said.

If Lutefisk is prepared correctly, it's not that awful, mostly the texture is awful--fish-flavored jello. Unfortunately it is very difficult to prepare correctly so those of us Scandinavians, born and bred in the north, employ crazy amounts of butter and salt to choke it down.

It is beloved by my grandparents' generation and hated by my parents' generation. I enjoy it as a test of courage when I'm back home. I don't really see it surviving into the next generation.

Bah, good lutefisk tastes like butter and has the consistency of clams. It's good food, if it's not good food then the cooks suck or just think it is supposed to be nasty. Used to get great stuff from Olsen's in Seattle before QFC bought them out.
As a seafood loving Seattle boy of Nordic stock though...what about clam juice? Used to get steaming mugs of it from the fish bar and that stuff was great.
Anyone want to try to make a naturally extracted clam juice with me?

Not exactly a glowing review:)
A friend of mine talked about it like it was something really special. I happened to be visiting at his home when he had just finished making some. I will try almost any new recipe because I like being adventurous when it comes to food. As I said, one bite was all I could handle.

The Scandinavian seafood that I really like is pickled herring. Unfortunately no one sells it down here in south TX except during the holidays. I'll live though because the Tex-Mex here is obviously outstanding.

Right now I am vaping some "clearance sale" liquid from Desert Vapes. It's called, Winsten and they write:

if you like Winston Churchill, you'll love our Winsten e-liquid. :D

That cracked me up so much I bought a $2 bottle. It's the nastiest, crappiest stuff I've ever vaped. Tastes like a wet beaver's behind (I'd imagine). Something about it though, can't seem to put it down... I bought out their remaining stock of 30ml bottles for $5 a pop. :)

Henceforth I only buy e-liquid that has the worst reviews. That way I know I'll like it. :D

They pickle everything in Wisconsin. Pickled pigs feet is a favorite as well as pickled hard boiled eggs. Pickled herring is available in stores. Lots of Scandinavians, Germans and Polish here.
Pickled eggs is good eating. The southerners have turned me on to spicy pickled okra, that stuff should be on the side of every sandwich everywhere.
Man, this thread is coming up with lots of ideas for dreadful new e-juice. Figure making a "pizza" juice that just tastes like "pizza" Cheez-its or Combos shouldn't be too hard to get it to where it's not unpleasant.

To this day, nothing has compared to the horror of vaping cherries and cream from mad vapes. I hated life for a few months afterwords, flying in to a rage at the sound of children's laughter, because innocent laughter shouldn't exist in a universe so cruel. It made me vomit. And I don't speak figuratively about this, I threw up into a trash can by my desk. I considered cauterizing my tongue, so that there would never be a chance that it should suffer such torments again. It tasted like someone had cleaned out the underside of the racks in the dairy department at the grocery store, combined it with some foul flower grown with tender loving care in Satan's garden, and then bottled it and sold it as e-liquid. In short, it sucked, a lot.

I have a 50ml bottle of "antifreeze post overheating"....it smells exactly like you just overheated your car radiator....and I mean EXACTLY! I am saving it to put on a friends car radiator as a prank, poor some on and wait for the temp to rise enough to create "engine vape" then watch as he frets over the fact he smells antifreeze.....or thinks he does:laugh:

And it tastes as it smells too BTW, took me 3 days to get the horrid flavor out of my system!

Dark USA mix......needs to be renamed "Prestone"....The perfect vape for the "auto mechanic in you!"

That sucks, have you tried Wal-Mart? Our seafod section is tiny and pathetic here in AR, but we do have pickled herring year-round straight and with sour cream and onions. Right next to the krab and lox.
Man, now I wanna go makes some lefse hook up the herring and vodka, and drink some clam juice.

Lox? We don't even have pumpernickle bread. I'll double check though. The basic rule with the grocery stores here is that, in order to be stocked, food either needs to be 1. something you put in a tortilla or 2. cause type 2 diabetes (bonus if it's 1 & 2).
