(I'm posting the quiz a little early this week, as I might not be home to get it posted later on.)

Boo!!

Time for an extra-huge Halloween Movie Quiz! See how many of the horror movies below you can identify from the screenshots.

If you find it all too intense and frightening, to avoid fainting, just keep telling yourself, "It's only a movie quiz... It's only a movie quiz..."

(I so hope somebody gets that reference.) :D

Anyway, happy Halloween! Enjoy!

As usual, I'll post the answers Sunday morning.

Time for a bump and a couple of hints:

#1: That's the receptionist in the afterlife's waiting room.
#13: This is the last image you see, at the very end of the movie. It's also a spoiler to an extremely polarizing film.
#4: Little does Kevin Bacon know, but an arrow is about to be shoved up through the mattress and through his throat.
#7: A hundred years after being destroyed during the civil war, a southern town exacts its revenge on some Yankee tourists.
#16: Americans are the most expensive victims.

See if those help anybody. :)

Another bump, and a couple more hints.

#15: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
#6: In the screenshot, the video she's watching causes people to die seven days after viewing it.
#5: That's exactly why, when the moon is full, you should stay on the road and keep clear of the moors.

So, any more players this week? :)

    in a cave, eh?
    1. Somebody on this picture was a Harry Belafonte fan. ♫ Shake, shake, shake, Senora, shake it all the time.
    2. Nazi zombies in snow. Google it.
    3. The entire movie was filmed in Oren Peli's own home.
    4. chee chee chee ha ha ha ha...
    5. There's a connection here:
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes
      You're paralyzed
    6. The answer's right there on the tv.
    7. This movie did in fact inspire the bands name.
Trouble me, disturb me with all your cares and you worries.
Trouble me on the days when you feel spent.
Why let your shoulders bend underneath this burden when my back is sturdy and strong?
      Trouble me.
    8. After Jaws, this was probably the second film that convinced people not to get in the bathtub. :) The villain is a rival of #4.
    9. Even the writer/director has a halloween-ie name. :)
Dead I am the one, Exterminating son
Slipping through the trees, strangling the breeze
Dead I am the sky, watching angels cry
While they slowly turn, conquering the worm
    10. All I have to say about that is "asphinctersayswhat". :D Or maybe I'm getting two different people confused...
    11. They're heeeere! (Well, this is what happens when you let the tv babysit your kids.)
    12. Spelunking. What could go wrong?
    13. If you go down to the woods today. You're sure of a big surprise. ♫ But not from the monster. The actors and the handheld cameras are creating all of the tension. And hasn't anybody heard of Kleenex?
    14. Good eeevening! Perhaps the moral of this story is don't cross a cross-dresser.
    15. I'd be surprised if anybody here managed to Overlook this classic.
    16. Over 150 gallons of blood were used in the making of the movie, nearly three times the amount used on Cabin Fever.
