There are eight screenshots below. Most of them should be fairly recognizable if you've seen the films. So, which of these movies can you identify?

1 and 6 look familiar but I can't quite place them. Got all the others, but I still haven't seen 5. Shame on me.

Hints, round one:

#1: ♫ Workin' at the... ♫

#2: Pictured left to right in the screenshot: Rob Riggle, Michael Keaton, some actor I can't identify, Samuel L. Jackson, and Dwayne Johnson. But the main characters in this 2010 action-comedy aren't those guys...

#3: I've used this movie once before, and I remember having a hard time coming up with good hints for it. Guess what? Still having trouble with that. Let's try this: In biblical terms, this movie's title describes the stairway to heaven.

#4: That's not Buffy, and that guy's not a Slayer, (well, not according to the movie's title, at least). Also, this movie didn't come out four score and seven years ago; it's from 2012.

Wow, slowest-moving Quiz thread ever! Hell, there's only about half as many thread views as there usually are by now.

Oh well, here's another bump... Because why not.

Hints, part 2: Better-late-than-never edition:

#5: That little girl bravely staring down a giant auroch is Hushpuppy, who lives with her daddy in The Bathtub. The 9 year-old actress playing her in this moderately melancholy fantasy film from 2012 was nominated for a Best Leading Actress award, the youngest nominee ever for the honor.

#6: This movie features Val Kilmer in the lead role. We first know him as hard-partying tweeker Danny Parker, but we later learn that he's actually a vengeance-seeking trumpet player named Tom Van Allen. Pictured in the screenshot is a noseless drug dealer named Pooh-Bear, played by Vincent D'Onofrio.

#7: If the image of a young Christopher Walken seated next to a young Dianne Keaton isn't enough of a clue for you, it's pretty likely that you never saw this acclaimed 1977 Woody Allen comedy.

#8: In real life, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren gained some renown from their involvement in the Amityville haunting made famous in the book and movie, The Amityville Horror. That's the Warrens in the screenshot, played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga. This 2013 movie is based on their investigation of a Rhode Island haunting, involving the Perron family.

I forgot to mention recommendations for a couple of the movies in this quiz:

If you're generally into twisty, clever, somewhat Tarantino-ish, contemporary crime flicks, you'll probably enjoy The Salton Sea.

Also, if you tend to like horror movies, but often find yourself disappointed with the current spate of humdrum, PG-13-rated fare, I think you might like The Conjuring.
