Movie Quiz 33

I wanted to try doing the movie quiz with bigger screenshots, so I decided to change up the format this week. Depending on whatever feedback I get regarding the new style, I may or may not continue doing it this way.

So, please let me know whether you prefer the old style quiz image, or this one.

And now, it's quiz time!

There are eight screenshots below, most of which should be fairly recognizable if you've seen the movies. The question is: which of the movies can you identify?

I only know 3 & 6 so far. Is 8 going to be another odd movie that I've never seen & will have to add to my "list" ?

I only know the names of 2, 3 (blast from the past) and 4 for sure this week but several look familiar. Gonna have to stare at the pics for a bit.

Maybe if you heard the guy in #6 with his back to the camera do his distinctive laugh, it would be more obvious.

Yeah, I used the shot with his back to the camera because I knew if his face was there, it'd be a dead giveaway. I was kinda hoping the view of the rest of the cast would provide enough identifying info.

3. Anyone remember Cousin Kevin who reportedly drove his car into a swimming pool and unfortunately didn't see the end of the decade?
4. I Am Legend on an alien planet. Maybe if you recognized the husky-voiced skinhead pictured here... ?
5. Here's the writer. Guess the movie.
   
6. The gentlemen in the foreground does a mean Gumby impersonation. Literally.

Hey Caff, I've discovered that the new format shows up much better when I'm reading the forum on my Droid! So, Yeah for the new design!!!
Still don't know the movies.
On another note, my brother made me watch a HORRIBLE movie last night with English subtitles. It was some spanish movie with Antonio Bandares about some girl he made? in a burn suit - and I don't ever want to watch it again!!!

I meant to comment on this earlier, but it totally slipped my mind...

I watched Fantastic Planet with my kids last week, (I hadn't seen it since I bought the DVD about five years ago, and having originally seen it in the mid-80s). Anyway, in the movie the Oms aren't actually used to perform work for the Draags. Rather, the Oms are kept as pets and playthings.

Further, the Oms aren't human-like, they are humans. While exploring space, the Draags discovered the Oms on a post-apocalyptic Earth, and took them back to the Draag home planet.

That is all.

LOL, I was hopelessly ignorant no matter which synopsis I got! Now I want to see the movie! dang it...My que is getting too big & there aren't enuf hours in the day!
