Happy Friday, guys!

No theme for this week's quiz - just a selection of pretty good movies. Well, some of them are, anyway. :D

There are eight screenshots below. Most of them should be fairly recognizable if you've seen the films. So, which of these movies can you identify?

Please answer with movie numbers only, not titles..

As usual, I'll post the answers Sunday morning-ish.

    in a cave, eh?
    Hints if you need 'em:

    1. A horror about a woman who returns to the home she was raised in before she was adopted. Intending to care for disabled children, she has to deal with the disappearance of her adopted son and the ghosts of murdered orphans.
    2. A black comedy about a prudish couple, the Blands, who resort to killing "perverts" for the money. A cat burglar becomes their accomplice and disposes of the bodies by selling them to a dog food company. Paul Bartel's parents sold their house to finance this cult classic.
    3. David Cronenberg's early sci-fi horror will make your head explode, literally. ConSec, a weapons and security company, staffs itself with unusual people who are telepathic and telekinetic. Michael Ironside is one of those special people who's gone renegade and declared war on the company.
    4. A crime drama with an ensemble cast. Sylvester Stallone is the half deaf sheriff who's asked to investigate the corrupt NYPD cops living in his New Jersey town just across from the Hudson River. The cops were covering up an incident that resulted in the deaths of african-american teens, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.
    5. The similarities to the trash compactor scene in Star Wars should be a clue here. A film about old high school buddies who reunite and carry out a plan they'd been dreaming of since they were kids (huge Star Wars fans): infiltrate the Skywalker Ranch and steal a rough cut of the upcoming Star Wars prequel "The Phantom Menace".
    6. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a military helicopter pilot in this film about a totalitarian police state of the future. He gets thrown under a bus when he refuses to fire on civilians in a food riot. His punishment is to participate in a sadistic game show where his adversaries are costumed goons attemping to kill him. The story is a loose adaptation of a Richard Bachman (Stephen King) novel. Arnie should just be glad Richard Dawson didn't give him a big wet kiss for luck before sending him off. :(
    7. Ex-CIA field operative, Liam Neeson, tracks down his daughter who was kidnapped while travelling in Paris with her friend by Albanian human traffickers.
    8. A U.S. Army office grows to 60 feet and gradually becomes insane after accidental exposure to a nuclear bomb blast in this 50's monster film. He wreaks havoc in Las Vegas and must be brought down by the Army.
